It is like that. A medicine that increases and decreases, What is one, the other is also. Called this, with such a reason, the diseases and impurities cause the place and the owner of the place to increase. Whatever nourishes and decreases, it also decreases the nourisher, so whatever is one medicine is the same as the other. If so, then what is the place of wind, the medicine that increases bones, at first also increases wind. Does the medicine that depletes bones also deplete wind? If asked like that, Bone and wind, these are not. Called this, bone and wind, the medicine that does not increase and decrease, should not be mixed like this, it should be mixed by implication. Mostly it increases by nourishing, Phlegm is in accordance, therefore. From that reversal it decreases, wind is also in accordance. Called this, because these diseases and body essences mostly increase and arise by being nourished and satisfied, and that increase is also in accordance with phlegm. Saying "mostly" is to indicate that there are some that are not like this in other places. Therefore, from the reason that it increases from such nourishment, these diseases and body essences that have the aspect of a nourisher, to deplete them, reverse from that, that is, to weaken, the synonym of the name is fasting, and it decreases through fasting. If so, whatever medicine increases bones, oily and sweet, etc., is what depletes wind. Whatever medicine increases wind, rough and astringent, etc., is what causes weakening, and in accordance with fasting, it depletes bones. Therefore, it is said that bone and wind are like this. The author of the treatise speaks from the perspective of the majority: Increase and decrease will arise, With fasting and nourishing. Diseases should be treated sequentially, Except for wind. Called this, because from the way of observing like that it will increase, and from the way of weakening it will decrease, therefore, with the fasting and nourishing that will cause the increase and decrease of diseases to arise, the forms of diseases should be treated and accomplished sequentially.

Moreover, for diseases caused by proliferation, treatment should be done through fasting and reducing food. For diseases caused by depletion, treatment should be done through nourishing and satisfying. If that is the case, then in treating rlung diseases, for diseases caused by rlung proliferation, it is necessary to treat by fasting; for diseases arising from rlung depletion, it is necessary to treat by nourishing. Therefore, what is said is: "Except for rlung," meaning that in the order of treatment, rlung is not included, it must be done differently from this. From that arising, combine the method of reversing that. Meaning that for diseases arising from rlung, treatment should be done by reversing the methods of fasting and nourishing, i.e., proliferation should be treated by nourishing, and depletion should be treated by fasting. In particular, for blood-born diseases, treatment should be done through bloodletting and purgatives. Meaning that in treating diseases, what is particularly to be treated is diseases caused by blood proliferation, treatment should be done through bloodletting and draining blood, and by administering purgatives. For diseases arising from excessive growth of flesh, combine bloodletting, moxibustion, and alkaline medicine. Meaning that for diseases arising from excessive growth and obesity of flesh, treatment should be done through bloodletting, applying moxibustion, and combining sharp alkaline medicine, etc. For excessive fat, treatment should be done through obesity and emaciation. Meaning that for diseases arising from excessive fat and proliferation, treatment should be done by explaining the two methods of treating obesity; for diseases arising from fat depletion, treatment should be done through the two methods of treating emaciation. For diseases arising from bone depletion, mix butter and milk with bitterness. Similarly, treatment should be done by administering emollients. Meaning that for diseases arising from bone depletion, treatment should be done with medicine such as milk mixed with bitterness, and similarly, treatment should be done by administering emollients. For increased excrement, treatment should be done through diarrhea. Meaning that for diseases arising from increased excrement, treatment should be done through strong methods of diarrhea. For diseases arising from depleted excrement, give goat and sheep entrails, warm porridge, etc. Meaning that for diseases arising from depleted excrement, give cooked goat and sheep entrails, such as intestines, etc., and warm porridge and
