should be done. For indigestion caused by heat, i.e., bile, emetics should be used. Alternatively, depending on the situation, all three methods should be used as appropriate. Regarding the statement, "Indigestion of heavy mucus, pulse sinking and long duration, diphtheria wind mixed symptoms, should be treated the same as this," it means that indigestion of heavy mucus becomes heavy, sinks into the pulse and becomes viscous, resulting in a special case of indigestion that lasts for a long time. Indigestion caused by diphtheria and wind mixing and interrelating, with symptoms of mucus such as swollen eyes, etc., for this condition, treatment and conditioning should be done in the same and similar way as that indigestion. Therefore, this should be treated by fasting. Regarding the statement, "Essence not exhausted, loss of appetite, heartburn belching," it means that the residue of food essence is not completely digested, resulting in loss of appetite, i.e., dislike of food, heartburn, and belching. Regarding the statement, "Take a little sleep for this," it means that for indigestion of essence residue, one should sleep a little, i.e., briefly. Regarding the statement, "All indigestion sufferers sleep during the day without eating, and eat moderately when hungry," it means that all people with indigestion, i.e., all those with the four types of mucus, etc., should sleep during the day without eating. Then, when they feel hungry and crave food, they should eat a moderate amount of light food made from rice, etc., i.e., eat a small amount in moderation. Regarding the statement, "The general symptoms of indigestion are that excretions are blocked or excessive, pain, gas is not obvious, stool is hard, body is heavy, and dizziness," it means that the general symptoms or signs of indigestion are that feces, urine, and vomit, etc., become hard and blocked, or that feces, urine, etc., are excreted excessively. Feeling pain and dullness, gas flows unobtrusively and is difficult to detect, stool is hard, the body is heavy, and the head feels like it is spinning. These are the symptoms of all four types of indigestion.

It is a common characteristic. Eating too much food not only leads to indigestion, but also eating unwillingly, obstructively (i.e., obstructing the channels of the body), overcooked, undercooked (i.e., not properly cooked and ripe), heavy and difficult to digest, rough (i.e., without oil), unclean, cold, hot (i.e., causing heat in the body), dry (i.e., mostly solid), and watery (i.e., mixed with a lot of water) foods will not be digested and will not be fully satisfying, but will only produce phlegm-related faults. Furthermore, eating when afflicted by sorrow, etc., is also inappropriate. Sorrow is being afflicted by sorrow. Anger is mental disturbance. Hunger is being afflicted by thirst, and not eating in such a state will also not be digested, but will turn into the fault of undigested phlegm. Mixing beneficial and non-beneficial foods is considered mixed eating. This means that mixing beneficial and non-beneficial, suitable and unsuitable foods together is considered mixed eating by scholars. Eating again after being full is called excessive eating. This means that eating again after eating and enjoying food to the point of fullness is known as excessive eating. Eating too much or too little at the wrong time is considered unbalanced eating. This means that eating at the wrong time, either before or after the proper time for eating, or eating too much or too little, should be understood as unbalanced eating. These three can also kill or cause unbearable diseases.

Insurmountable and difficult-to-treat diseases will invade and proliferate. Eat on time, be accustomed, clean, and beneficial. Oily, warm, light, and without distraction, possessing six tastes and rich in sweetness. Not too fast, not too slow, bathe, be hungry, and stay in a secluded place. Wash your mouth, face, hands, and feet, do not forget to give alms to gods and hungry ghosts. Offerings to gurus, children, and guests, and carefully observe the livestock as well. You should also observe yourself well, do not speak harshly or speak pleasing words. Treat everyone with cleanliness and respect, and eat together with your beloved relatives and friends. It is said that food should be eaten and enjoyed on time. It should be combined as such. The so-called "time" is, for example, the excretion of urine and feces, which will be explained below. Eating after the time has passed will be blocked by the wind, making it very difficult to digest, and the intake and preference of food will also be hindered. The so-called "habit" means that what you are accustomed to and rely on will become suitable, otherwise it will be disliked and harmful. The so-called "clean" means knowing where it comes from and how it is cooked. The so-called "beneficial" means that the type of food can balance the elements of the body and restore the unbalanced elements to balance. Conversely, it is useless. Oily, warm, and light food can generate the heat of fire. Slightly warm can exercise the body, will not disturb the essence of the body, can be quickly digested, can correct those who have gone astray, and return them to the right path. Oiliness can stabilize the senses, strengthen and increase the body, delay aging, increase strength, and improve complexion. Lightness means that the nature of the food is easy to digest and harmless, and even if it is not digested, it will not cause much harm. Warmth can open the pulse knots and destroy phlegm. Not being distracted means being focused. If you are distracted, or eat too fast, or eat while talking, or eat while laughing, you will not be able to nourish your complexion, you will become foolish, restless, and unable to distinguish between advantages and disadvantages.
