The treatment for heart pain caused by phlegm disorders is feeling the heart stiff, feeling like there is a stone in the heart, feeling like one has drunk thick broth, coughing, coldness in the stomach, secretion of large amounts of mucus and phlegm from the mouth, drowsiness, abdominal distension, and loss of appetite. The treatment for infection with fever is like this. The treatment for heart pain caused by the combination of wind, bile, and phlegm disorders is that all the symptoms of these three diseases will appear simultaneously. The treatment for diseases with worms is that the eyes are slightly black overall, one cannot remember things as if entering darkness, there is heart pain, the body is emaciated, the body itches, saliva drips from the mouth, and the surface of the liver feels hot as if scraped with a saw. This is a symptom of worms, it is a worm disease.

The treatment method for thirst caused by phlegm disease is that initially, phlegm obstructs the interior, causing wind to obstruct and become disordered, thereby obstructing the meridians through which drinking water enters, causing the phlegm to become dry like clay, the inside of the throat feels hot and rough as if filled with bran, drowsiness, a sweet taste in the mouth, abdominal distension, the head sways, physical weakness, loss of appetite, physical discomfort, and difficulty digesting food. The treatment method for thirst disease caused by the three diseases of wind, bile, and phlegm is the treatment of wind, bile, and phlegm.
