具有十一种（特征）的就是那样。像这样染上肺痨病，又被其他恶灵附体，就会声音嘶哑而阻塞，喉咙肿胀，胸部乳房下方左右刺痛，口齿不清，感觉身体和上半身 被击打一样，口中多痰和咳出痰液，胃火衰弱，口中有脓臭味，变成那样的疾病，这就是恶灵附体的内在方法。因此，也要分别说明肺痨消耗性疾病由何而生的各个细节。如果这种疾病主要是由风引起，就会肋骨两侧刺痛，颈部肿胀，声音嘶哑。 如果胆汁增多，热病占主导，就会手掌和脚掌发热，因发热而剧烈腹泻，吐血，口臭，受瘟疫侵袭。如果这种疾病主要是由痰引起，就会食欲不振，呕吐，被痰堵塞，头部、身体和四肢沉重，痰液增多，受感冒侵袭，呼吸不畅，声音嘶哑，胃火衰弱，变成那样的疾病。 如果染上这种疾病，观察其难易治疗的区别，就是风、胆汁和痰的疾病全部增多，而胃火衰弱减少，痰液大量滋生，导致胃病阻塞和停止，所有脉络的通道也阻塞，身体的七种生命精华，以及大小便、尘垢、风、胆汁和痰等身体内的十三种物质，都会变得微弱。胃的火热反常地发热和灼烧，导致食物的精华无法消化，无法转化为血液和肉等物质。食物的精华转化为痰液，反而导致疾病复发。食物在胃里也无法消化和转化为精华，只会向下排出大小便的污垢。因此，血液和肉等身体的生命精华无法得到滋养和增强。食物无法消化，就无法转化为精华；无法转化为精华，就无法转化为血液；又怎么能转化为肉等生命精华呢？胃里只有大小便的集合 使身体膨胀。因此，身体的肌肉全部消失，所以叫做消耗性疾病肺痨。

There is much phlegm from the mouth and expectoration of phlegm, the gastric heat is weakened, and the mouth smells of pus, turning into such a disease. This is the inner method of spirit possession. Therefore, the specific details of what causes consumptive wasting disease should also be explained separately. If such a disease is mainly caused by wind, the ribs will stab and ache, the neck will swell, and the voice will become hoarse. If bile increases and heat disease predominates, the palms of the hands and soles of the feet will be hot, there will be severe diarrhea due to fever, vomiting of blood, bad breath, and infection by epidemics. If such a disease is mainly caused by phlegm, there will be loss of appetite, vomiting, blockage by phlegm, heaviness of the head, body, and limbs, increased phlegm, infection by colds, difficulty in breathing, hoarseness, and weakening of gastric heat, turning into such a disease. Having contracted such a disease, observing the differences in difficulty and ease of treatment means that all diseases of wind, bile, and phlegm increase, while gastric heat weakens and decreases. Excessive growth of phlegm causes gastric disease to be blocked and stopped, and the gates of all the channels are also blocked, so that the seven life essences of the body, as well as feces, urine, dust, wind, bile, and phlegm, the thirteen substances in the body, become weak. The fire heat of the stomach abnormally heats and burns, so that the essence of the food eaten is not digested and cannot be transformed into blood, flesh, etc. The essence of the food eaten turns into phlegm and causes the disease to recur. The food in the stomach also cannot be digested and transformed into essence, but only the impurities of feces and urine go downwards. Therefore, blood, flesh, and other life essences of the body cannot be nourished and strengthened. If food is not digested, it cannot be transformed into essence; if it is not transformed into essence, it cannot be transformed into blood; how can it be transformed into flesh and other life essences? In the stomach, only the collection of feces and urine causes the body to swell. Therefore, all the muscles of the body disappear, so it is called consumptive disease, consumption.
