Ignorance and, bewilderment and, mental anguish, and so on. Up to this point, the nature of the bodies of sentient beings has been explained. Now, the measurement of the body will be discussed. The body has seven layers of skin, just as cream forms when milk is boiled. Similarly, the seven essences of the body, such as blood, mature completely due to their respective heat, and each layer of skin is produced. These are also covered and sustained by phlegm and tendons. What are these seven essences? Blood and, phlegm and, stomach and, bile and, large intestine and, wind and, urine and. These seven, together with wind, are regarded as the essence of the body, just like the heartwood of a tree. Between the large intestine and the bile of a woman is the location of the womb, which is said to have eight parts. Other internal organs within the abdomen include the heart and, lungs and, spleen and, liver and, pancreas and, kidneys and, navel and, memory and, bladder. The so-called ten abodes of life are the head and, the location of the tongue's sensation and, bile and, blood and, heart and, navel and, semen and, essence and, complexion and, the path of excrement, these ten. The body has sixteen large water channels that spread like a net. What are these? Two large water channels for the two bladders, two large water channels for the two hands, four each from the direction of the throat, totaling sixteen. The body has six large water channels: the throat and, the two hands and, the two feet and, the water channel of the penis. These six are arranged like combed hair. The body has seven tendons: five on the head, and one each on the tongue and penis. It is said that surgical procedures should not be performed on these. There are four large pieces of flesh like ropes, two each in the front and back, which act as holding ropes. There are fourteen collections of bones: two ankles and, two knees and, two femurs and, two shins and, two armpits and, two elbows and, the head and, the tailbone, totaling fourteen. The body has eighteen major vital joints. What are these? Five on the head and, one tailbone and, two ankles and, two knees and, two femurs and, two shins and, two armpits and, two elbows, totaling eighteen.

Alright. The body has three hundred and sixty bones, including teeth and nails. Among them, the four limbs have one hundred and forty, the torso has one hundred and twenty, and the head has one hundred. The sage Tangla Bhar believes that the body has three hundred bones. The body has two hundred and ten joints. The four limbs have sixty-eight, the torso has fifty-nine, and above the navel there are eighty-three. The view of the son of the scholar Changshi is that there are two thousand joints. The sage Changshi's son says that the combination of veins, tendons, and muscle-bones totals two thousand. The body has nine hundred tendons. The four limbs have three hundred, above the navel there are seventy, and the torso has five hundred and thirty. The amount of muscle is five hundred handfuls, of which the four limbs have four hundred handfuls, the torso has sixty handfuls, and above the navel there are forty handfuls. Women have twenty more handfuls, of which the breasts have ten handfuls and the female genitalia have ten handfuls, totaling twenty handfuls. The heart has ten major veins. Seven hundred veins branching from these veins spread throughout the body, like leaves of a tree. The essence of digested food and the essence called "radiance" reside in the heart, entering through the ducts of the veins and spreading throughout the body. Each of the four limbs has one hundred veins. Among them, the veins that cannot be punctured with a needle are the four major veins called "holders of the impurities of the veins," which cannot be punctured. The veins that can be punctured are four veins on each of the four limbs, totaling sixteen. The waist has thirty-two veins. Among them, the ones that cannot be punctured with a needle are two in each of the two positions of the waist, and two in each of the two thighs, these eight veins cannot be touched with a needle and must be protected. There are eight veins on each side of the ribs, totaling sixteen. Among them, there is a vein that goes upwards, called the knot on the side of the rib, one on each side of the rib, and needles cannot be inserted there. Twelve veins branch out from the vertebrae of the back to the left and right sides, totaling twenty-four. Among them, there are two veins that go upwards, and needles cannot be inserted there. As are the vertebrae, so is the abdomen. From the navel downwards, the left side where hair grows
