The powder of the roots of A-lai is mixed with urine and instilled. Or, the powder of the wood Tilaka hung is mixed with milk and instilled. Or, the root of She-gya-ka is mixed with honey, then mixed with rice-washed water and instilled. Or, Ku-ba (khu ba) is placed in a snow container, add a drop of water and instill it. The root of Sinduvara, the bone of a mouse, Chinese incense, and white Bong-nga, put them in water, and perform nasal instillation and other operations to eliminate mouse poison. If the residue of mouse poison remains in the body, the source of the disease will grow in whatever way it does, and at those times, the poison will also grow and arise. In this regard, judgment should be made according to the situation, and like treating the poison of various diseases, treatment should be given with medicines that can eliminate the poison. For those who are attacked by the poison called A-lai-ka, the wound should be cauterized with ghee. Apply the above-mentioned antidote ointment, and instill drinking old ghee. A laxative containing Arga milk should also be given quickly. Collect the roots of Angkola that grow to the north, add three fruits, wood pippali, and powder to the boiled juice and instill it. Or, instill the boiled juice of wolfberry fruit, Giri-karni, and Vas-pra. Mixing sesame powder, rue, iron powder, milk, and brown sugar and instilling it can also eliminate the unbearable A-lai-ka poison. Just like clouds are scattered by the wind. For people attacked by A-lai-ka poison, the body should be bathed with accomplished mantras, medicines, and jewels. Four-legged animals, and the teeth and claws of four-legged animals contain poison, and if bitten, it will cause swelling, maturation, redness, fever, oozing pus, and accompanying diseases. For these situations, use Soma-valka, Asha-garna, Kalava-gojiha, Hana-sapatika and two yellow plants, and alkali, apply their ointment to the wound to eliminate the poison from the claws and teeth. The chapter on diagnosing and treating diseases attacked by mice and A-lai-ka poison, the thirty-eighth chapter ends.

The treatment of poisons has been explained in the Eight Branches of the Medical Treatise. Next, the chapter on the ritual of nourishment will be explained. What is called nourishment is that which enables one to obtain longevity, memory, peace of mind, health, youthfulness, radiance, a clear voice, increased strength of body and senses, effective speech, becoming delicious, and being loved. Why is it called nourishment? Because it is the means of recovering what has been lost, such as essence, it is called nourishment. To practice this, one should choose either the early or middle years, and cultivate a land with the quality of overcoming all battles. If one wishes to begin practicing nourishment, it is essential to first cleanse the body in every way with oil baths, bloodletting, and alkaline baths. If the body is not cleansed with alkaline baths, and the ritual is incorrect, even if one practices the ritual of nourishment, starting with the ritual of making it delicious, it will be fruitless. It is like drawing a picture on a dirty cloth, which is meaningless. Regarding the practice of nourishment, the sages have explained two methods. That is, residing in a place untouched by wind, sun, and earth, and a place where wind and sun are strong. Of the two, the former is superior. When building a house, one should choose a place without wind, without fear, and carefully decorate the top floor with plaster and other materials. Gather all the necessary utensils and a skilled doctor with his equipment nearby. The house should face the direction of the powerful, and choose an auspicious place. The house should consist of three connected rooms, with very small windows. This place should be inaccessible to smoke, sunlight, decay, harmful creatures, women, and fools. Then, on an auspicious day, perform external cleansing baths, make offerings to those worthy of offerings, and reside in that house. After that, cleanse the body with alkaline baths, generate a comfortable experience and strength, maintain celibacy, be steadfast in mind, be full of faith, overcome the senses in battle, practice generosity, keep the precepts, and so on.
