Snakes are of three types: cobras, checkered snakes, and others. Although there are numerous and countless varieties, they can be summarized and described briefly. The qualities of these snake venoms are particularly characterized by roughness, heat, sourness, high temperature, sweetness, and coolness. Among these, the venom of the three types of snakes—cobras, coiled snakes, and checkered snakes—corresponds to the nature of wind, bile, and phlegm, respectively, and should be treated accordingly in sequence. The venom of young snakes increases in summer, while the venom of middle-aged snakes appears in winter. The venom of old snakes rises in the warm spring season. The venom of other snakes appears during the transitions between seasons. Snakes with patterns of wheels, plows, umbrellas, swastikas, iron hooks, and that are extremely fast are called cobras. Coiled snakes are those with various coiled patterns on their bodies. Checkered snakes have very bright and shiny patterns, are oily, and display various colors throughout their bodies. Additionally, among snakes, the venom of the Godara snake, which resembles a lizard, is similar to that of cobras. Apart from these, four-legged snakes are hybrid species, and their characteristics and patterns are also mixed, and being bitten by them can cause mixed diseases. The causes that lead to snake venom attacks include: wanting to eat, fear, falling, being touched by others, anger, sinful actions, and being driven by gods and sages. These can cause snakes to attack people, and the symptoms are like a plague, mainly with fever. Therefore, it is important to understand the cause of the snake bite and treat it accordingly. There is also a type of snake that, due to evil deeds, blocks roads and stays where people pass, harming people by merely touching them with saliva, dirt, or pus, and leaving tooth marks. This is called a mouth-part injury. Leaving one or two tooth marks on the body

That which is without blood is called bya di da. That which shows the marks of two fangs and is accompanied by blood is called bya lupta. That which is seized by three fangs, piercing the flesh and so forth, and struck by the fangs in the places where blood flows, that is called bi tsi na. That which has four fangs piercing the places of blood, causing blood to flow, that is called bi ti ta. Of these, the first two are without poison. The latter two are incurable. Of these, As soon as one is seized by the poison of the fangs, first there is swelling, and then it enters the blood, so because the blood is bad, it spreads throughout the body. Then it spreads to the bile, and from there it spreads throughout the entire body, just as sesame oil spreads on water. For a person who is naturally fearful, being touched by the body of a snake causes terror, which causes the wind to be disturbed, causing fainting and swelling, that is called the poison of being manifestly touched by the body of a snake. There is a creature called 'unpleasant smell'. Being seized by it, or any creature being seized unnoticed at night, thinking 'I have been seized by a snake', because of imagining poison, there is fever, vomiting, fainting, or the body becomes hot, or there is discomfort, or being in a daze, or diarrhea with fever, that is called a poisonous disease arising from imagination. From a wound caused by a snake bite, there is swelling, itching, pain, feverishness, and if the lymph nodes appear like knotted lumps, then it is poisonous, and the opposite is non-poisonous. Of these, the force of the poison from being bitten by a large venomous snake has seven aspects. That is, the first is that the blood is defective and turns black, and likewise all places such as the wound turn black, and one feels as if many ants are crawling on the body. In the second stage, rashes will appear. In the third stage, there is heaviness of the head, fainting, discomfort in the chest and heart, and the wound festers. In the fourth stage, there is excessive saliva, vomiting, separation of the joints, and soreness of the waist. In the fifth stage, there is destruction of the joints, feverishness, and hiccuping. In the sixth stage, there is pain in the chest and heart, heaviness in the abdomen, and faint
