Furthermore, if one is bitten in the gums, the edge of the mouth, the throat, the beginning of urination, the beginning of menstruation, the soft spot on the head, or during the brief moment called "Nireta," and if these vulnerable points are struck at those times, then one should give up hope. If a person is bitten by a snake and their eyes and face turn white, their hair falls out and becomes disheveled, their tongue becomes stiff, they faint repeatedly, and they exhale cold air, then they will not live. Also, if immediately after being bitten by snake venom, one experiences hiccups, difficulty breathing, spitting, vomiting, and sudden pain in the chest and heart, then they will not live. Whether one has ingested poison, held poison, been struck by a poisoned arrow, or been injured by a poisonous substance, if they possess these signs, then that person will certainly die, and one should abandon hope of survival. These signs include vomiting foam, loss of consciousness, and the feet, hands, and face turning black or bluish-green, the nose collapsing, the limbs decaying, the joints loosening, and loose stools with diarrhea. Furthermore, even if potent nasal medicines and the like are applied, consciousness cannot be regained, and even if stabbed with a knife or sharp weapon, there is no bleeding, and even if struck with a stick, no bruise appears, then that person has entered the abode of Yama, the Lord of Death. If one does not possess these signs of death, then the physician should quickly treat them as if putting out a fire in a house, striving to protect and pacify the critical situation where the poison has reached the throat. Immediately after being bitten by a snake, the venom remains in the wound for the duration of one hundred finger snaps. After that, the venom gradually spreads throughout the body's fluids, such as blood. Before the venom spreads into the blood, one should immediately take all appropriate measures, such as applying a tourniquet. Immediately after being bitten by a snake, one should quickly catch the snake that bit them and cut off its head. If one cannot catch the snake, one can cut off the head of any nearby artemisia, earth, tree, or whatever is seen. Then, suddenly occurring, one should apply one's own saliva or earwax to the snakebite wound. After that, four finger-widths above the wound, tie a string of gentian.

Bandage it slightly. Take threads such as silk and cotton, and after consecrating them with accomplished mantras, tightly bandage and press down. Just as a dam diverts a river, it will not allow the poison to enter the veins and will cut off the spread of the poison. If a snake bites at vital points and joints, immediately bandage tightly, squeeze out the venom, and the power of the poisonous disease will not increase, just like a sprout from a spoiled seed. If the wound is from a bite by a coiling snake, its nature is bilious. Immediately burn gold, iron, or other metals in a fire, or cauterize the wound with a torch, so that the power of the poison is reduced to ashes. If it is unbearable to that extent, it should be endured. Do not use any other method except fire therapy. Afterward, soak the wound, fill it, and then pour it out. Then apply soil or ash, or an antidote, or cow dung to the wound. If the poison has spread internally, especially in muscular individuals, apply an antidote to all parts of the body, including the wound. Administer sandalwood and sapphire powder mixed with water. If the poison has spread throughout the body, bloodletting is the best treatment. If a large amount of blood is drawn, a black poisonous substance will also appear. Poisonous blood has a foul odor and crackles when burned in fire. After drawing blood in this way, to observe whether the blood is clean, examine the blood as you would to understand the cause of a disease. If the pulse is not apparent, bloodletting can be done using both horn and worm methods. The remaining poison after bloodletting should be countered by repeatedly administering and applying cooling medicines. If one faints due to the power of the poison after being bitten by a snake, or if the heart fails, administer medicine with cooling properties, fan with a fan, and have them make a "poo poo" sound, so that the power of the poison will be greatly reduced. If one feels that the poison is very strong and seems to have invaded the heart, one can take half a day's ghee, or take an antidote, as well as ghee and honey mixed together. If the poison invades the heart, it will cause phlegm disease.
