For eyelid diseases caused by phlegm, grind black pepper, rock salt, Valeriana Hardwickii, long pepper, and jujube into a powder, mix with honey, and instill. Furthermore, all emetics, eye medicines, and nasal administrations that are beneficial for phlegm can also be used here. For the eyelid disease called Ghana, all medicines that are beneficial for eyelid diseases caused by phlegm are also beneficial for this condition; if they are ineffective, then perform all fire therapies. For the eyelid disease in children called Kukuna, perform oil treatments such as drinking sandalwood, the three fruits, and neem leaves mixed with mustard oil. Then, apply a mixture of long pepper, sweet wood, rock salt, and ghee to the mother's breasts for the infant to suckle. Afterwards, washing with a decoction of haritaki, long pepper, and grapes is also beneficial. Then, apply a paste of spikenard, two types of yellow flowers, and long pepper to the mother's breasts. Fumigate the breasts with smoke mixed with mustard oil. In this way, cleanse the breastfeeding mother's body with emetics, cleansing, etc., and feed her a drink boiled with Vatola, spikenard, grapes, turmeric, the three fruits, etc. After that, scrape the child's eyelid with a knife, or have it sucked by a lotus worm, and then instill a decoction of the milk of amalaki, Asmantaka, and water berry. Also, since children are mostly generated by oil and milk, they tend to develop phlegm diseases. Therefore, for all children's diseases, it is best to administer emetics first.

For the disease called "trichiasis", first cleanse the body with a laxative bath to purify it. After that, lift the eyelashes of the eye upwards, divide the eyelashes into three parts, and combine two parts with the eyebrows. Leave one part, and then cut it transversely with a knife, shaped like barley, so that it bleeds. When the strength of the blood is exhausted, wrap the cut tightly with a cloth, gather the eyelashes into bundles, and leave a gap between them the size of a small lentil. Fix the eyelashes on the cloth that sews the scalp eyelash bundles, sew with cow or horse hair, or with hemp thread. Sew with a bow-shaped needle and thread. This should also be moderate, not too tight or too loose. Then cover it from above with a soft cloth smeared with ghee and honey, without bandaging. If there is pain, infuse the juice and milk boiled with the components of Nyagrodha. Then, when it becomes firm and five days have passed, untie the thread and apply fine cloth linen powder. After that, mix and use potent nasal medicine and eye medicine. These rituals can also treat trichiasis.
