Offerings. To all demons, offer precious jewels such as vajra, beryl, and emerald, as well as fragrant flower garlands such as sumanā. Alternatively, offer fragrant medicinal substances, garlands, pods of Mon beans, grains such as cardamom, honey, beeswax, meat, lāḍu, and so on. These offerings and preparations are a general explanation of the rituals for demons. Among them, for the demons of gods, sages, elders, siddhas, and lamas, offer tormas from the temple. Furthermore, for the demons of gods, offer facing north. For the demons of asuras, offer tormas from the crossroads, facing west according to the time. For the demons of gandharvas, offer tormas of clothes, ornaments, and utensils from the path of oxen. For the demons of deceased relatives who have become ghosts, and for the demons of nāgas, cast tormas from the riverbank. In particular, for the demons of nāgas, offer tormas facing the southeast direction. For the demons of yakshas, offer at the dwelling of yakshas, or at the confluence of two rivers. For the demons of rākshasas and the demons of Brahma-rākshasas, offer tormas from the crossroads of the road and from the terrifying dense forest, facing south. For the demons of Brahma-rākshasas, offer facing east. For the demons of flesh-eaters, offer tormas from an empty place, facing west. For the demon of the Nagas, offer flowers such as Sumnala, rice grains, oil cakes mixed with molasses, rice porridge mixed with molasses, milk porridge called "excellent food," honey, milk, black soil, nagakesar, sandalwood, lotuses, guggul, pomegranates, and a torma with red utpala petals. Take white lion's mane leaves, Chinese incense, nagakesar, and white mustard seeds, grind them with cold water, and if you instill it into the nostrils or apply it to the eyes, you will be liberated from the demon of the Nagas. For the demon of the Yakshas, offer milk, yogurt, butter, food mixed with rice porridge, guggul, juniper, lotuses, pomegranates, clothes, and tormas made of gold ornaments or not. Boil butter, milk, and cow urine in equal parts, and drinking it, instilling it into the nostrils, or applying it as an ointment will benefit the demon of the Yakshas. Take arura, both kinds of yellow flowers, garlic, nalesham, sandalwood, and neem leaves, grind them and mix them with urine, and if you instill it into the nostrils or apply it to the eyes, you will also be freed from the demon of the Yakshas. For the demon of Brahma Rakshasa, offer a vessel filled with food made from one and a half bre of barley flour, a vase full of water, sesame flour, an umbrella, clothes, and a torma with saffron and other ointments. In the broth boiled with twenty srangs of acacia, add three hot spices, three fruits, neem, sandalwood, shuti, white mustard seeds, neem leaves, and garlic. Boil the powder of these ingredients with twenty-eight srangs of butter and three times the amount of cow urine butter, and then drinking it, instilling it into the nostrils, or applying it as an ointment will be beneficial. For the demon of the Rakshasas, offer sesame flour, white flowers, rice, rice porridge mixed with peas and other legumes, cooked meat, raw meat, nispapa, and a torma with blood.
