Because the disease will recur and become incurable, it is necessary to completely eradicate all leprosy. The nineteenth chapter on the treatment of leprosy from the section on healing is complete. Therefore, efforts must be made to treat it quickly, otherwise it will become incurable, just like a small fire spreading and causing a house to burn down. Therefore, especially for vitiligo on the body, the body should first be cleansed with an alkaline bath. For vitiligo, the juice boiled with sandalwood (Sanskrit: śrīkhaṇḍa) and psoralea (Sanskrit: somalatā) can be taken, or one's own semen and brown sugar can be taken. In short, for conditions like leprosy, skin discoloration as black as ink, mole-like formations, and protruding old scars, first scrape the area and then apply the medication to eliminate vitiligo and similar ailments. Take Acorus calamus (sweet flag), चित्रक (Sanskrit Devanagari, Citraka, Sanskrit Romanization, Citraka, meaning: leopard), tree सुधाहि (Sanskrit Devanagari, Sudhāhi, Sanskrit Romanization, Sudhāhi, meaning: Sudahi), अरका (Sanskrit Devanagari, Arka, Sanskrit Romanization, Arka, meaning: Arka) root, nutmeg, three pungents (Trikatu), conch shell, Nardostachys jatamansi (spikenard), Ruta graveolens (rue), five types of salt, two types of ash, and Gloriosa superba (glory lily).
