酒母之妻名曰拉弥，由此生出月亮和甘露。葡萄酒、蜂蜜酒、混合酒、甘蔗酒、糖蜜酒、阿萨瓦酒等等，都具有使人陶醉的力量，且本性不改。妓女被称为“摇曳生姿者”，饮酒后便名副其实地展现妖娆之态。良家妇女饮酒后，也会变得不知羞耻，显露出心性改变。饮酒之后，即使是贤者也会被欲望所迷惑。因饮酒之故，妇女们会皱眉、怒目，用手指指责他人，有时表面上像是要施加伤害，但内心却同样感到愉悦。饮酒之后，天女们也会沉溺于享乐。饮酒之后，即使是上战场的勇士也会像草芥般舍弃生命，争斗也会愈演愈烈。过度饮酒会导致日后对酒的渴求，永不知足。悲伤、忧愁、不悦和恐惧都无法战胜饮酒之人。欢庆聚会、盛大宴席、游园等活动，没有酒便黯然失色。有些人因饮酒而悲伤，回忆起失去的诸多美好事物而叹息。不友善之人变得友善，友善之人反目成仇。饮酒之人的心中，甚至会对天帝因陀罗产生轻蔑之意。因饮酒之故，能体验到他人无法体验的、自我觉知的快乐滋味。此外，人与人之间变得友善，但关系也更加容易破裂。献上酒，能使天神、阿修罗、夜叉、乾闼婆、罗刹和人类都感到喜悦、满足，口才也会变得更好。不恰当地饮酒会导致疾病，如脂肪增多，引发风病和痰病。恰当地饮酒则能从大罪中解脱。身患其他疾病时，应戒酒。酒并非疾病

The wife of the yeast is called Lami, from which the moon and nectar arise. Wine, honey wine, mixed wine, sugarcane wine, molasses wine, Asava wine, and so on, all have the power to intoxicate and do not abandon their nature. Prostitutes are called "graceful walkers," and when they drink wine, they show off their allure in accordance with their name. Even respectable women, when they drink wine, become shameless and show a change of heart. After drinking wine, even the wise are captivated by desires. Because of drinking wine, women will frown and glare, point fingers at others, and sometimes appear to inflict harm, but in their hearts, they feel equally delighted. After drinking wine, even the daughters of the gods become fond of pleasure. After drinking wine, even warriors entering battle will abandon their lives like grass, and disputes will escalate. Excessive drinking leads to a craving for alcohol later on, and they will never be satisfied. Sorrow, sadness, displeasure, and fear cannot overcome those who drink wine. Celebratory gatherings, grand feasts, and going to pleasure gardens, etc., are not beautiful without wine. Some are saddened by drinking wine, remembering the many beautiful things they have lost and sighing. Unfriendly people become friendly, and friendly people become estranged. In the mind of a person who has drunk wine, even contempt for the lord of the gods, Indra, arises. Because of drinking wine, one can experience the taste of self-aware bliss that others cannot experience. Furthermore, people become friendly, but relationships also become more easily broken. Offering wine makes gods, asuras, yakshas, gandharvas, rakshasas, and humans happy, satisfied, and their eloquence increases. Drinking wine improperly causes illness, such as increased fat, and causes wind and phlegm diseases. Drinking wine properly can liberate one from great sins. When suffering from other bodily ailments, one should abstain from alcohol. Wine is not a disease.
