If the epidemic is in the bones and marrow, then fumigation, massage, oil application, and medicines that pacify wind diseases should be done. In particular, applying soft ointment will be beneficial. For epidemics caused by demonic influences, performing rituals such as mantras and offering torma (Tibetan: གཏོར་མ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: बलि, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: bali, literal Chinese meaning: offering) will be beneficial. If the epidemic is caused by exposure to the smell of medicinal fumigation, administering medicines that pacify bile will be beneficial. If the epidemic is caused by poisoning, take detoxification measures. For epidemics caused by anger, give away things that he likes and say things that make him happy. If this does not subside, then take beneficial food and medicine. If this does not subside, then treat with unhelpful food and medicine. If these are not effective, then administering purgatives will be beneficial. Epidemics arising from anger will be pacified by indulging in desires. Epidemics arising from attachment to desires will be pacified by arousing anger. For epidemics arising from sorrow and fear, both anger and affection should be employed to pacify them. For epidemics arising from curses and violent actions, performing propitiatory rituals or making offerings to deities will bring peace. These sudden epidemics initially occur alone, but later they mix with other diseases. Therefore, for sudden epidemics, treat with medicine and therapies that are appropriate to the nature of the disease. Until the epidemic combines with other diseases such as wind, it will not penetrate deeply. During the time when the epidemic is rising, for epidemics caused by mental factors, manifesting various pleasing sights will pacify remembrance. Make all sentient beings happy, and if the mind is moistened with compassion, the epidemic will be destroyed. For a person who has recovered from an epidemic but has not yet regained strength, physical exertion, sexual activity, heavy food, unfamiliar food, fever-inducing factors, and all other causes that generate epidemics should be avoided. Even if recovered from the epidemic, do not eat too much of all kinds of food indiscriminately. Because the body is weak, if one eats indiscriminately, even if the disease has been cured, it will relapse.

能令其逆转。因此，不食用不洁之食物和行为，会立即夺走生命，尤其要观察病情，禁食、熏蒸、大麦粥、苦味汁、催熟药、牛奶和酥油等一切滋养之物都应配合使用。对于遍入天（梵文：Viṣṇu）所降临的极强瘟疫，药物、珍宝和咒语都应戴在头上。此外，对父母等圣者、上师、婆罗门和诸神进行供养，以及依止令人愉悦的欲望之境，也能平息瘟疫。医方明中，治疗瘟疫之章，第一章圆满。 接下来，将要讲述治疗血胆的第二章。如果一个人身体强壮，且血向上涌的势头不猛烈，又恰逢冬季或寒冷季节新发病，没有其他并发症，那么，在“经部·阐述如何使疾病痊愈之章”中，关于血胆增多的治疗方法，可在此处应用。对于血胆向下流、两种疾病混合引起、上下游走不定、血从上方的口、鼻、眼、耳孔流出，以及从下方的阴茎和肛门流出，或者血从上下颠倒错乱地流出的情况，应依次逐渐减轻病情进行治疗。如果上下两处都大量出血，且身体热度降低，或者由三种疾病引起，以及从上下任何一处大量出血的情况，都应避免治疗。因此，要详细了解疾病的性质、白天长短的变化、血胆与哪种疾病相关联导致其强度大小、地点和时间等因素，以及出血的具体部位等情况。之后，根据情况采取禁食、滋养身体、净化身体或用药物进行调理等方法。因食用温热和辛辣等食物而引起的胆病，如果与多种疾病混合，且身体虚弱无力，血向上涌，则应使用泻药；如果血向下流，则应使用催吐药。

For the extremely strong plague descended by the god Viṣṇu, medicines, gems, and mantras should be worn on the head. In addition, offering to holy beings such as parents, gurus, Brahmins, and gods, and relying on the objects of desire that bring joy, can also pacify the plague. In the science of healing, the chapter on treating plague, the first chapter is complete. Next, the second chapter on treating blood bile will be discussed. If a person is strong and the upward flow of blood is not strong, and it occurs newly in winter or cold season without other complications, then, in the "Sutra - Chapter on Explaining How to Cure Diseases," the treatment for increased blood bile can be applied here. For cases where blood bile flows downward, caused by a mixture of two diseases, fluctuates up and down, blood flows out from the upper mouth, nose, eyes, and ear canals, and from the lower penis and anus, or blood flows out from the upper and lower in a reversed and disordered manner, treatment should be given gradually to alleviate the condition. If there is a large amount of bleeding from both the upper and lower parts, and the body's heat is reduced, or caused by three diseases, and a large amount of bleeding occurs from either the upper or lower part, treatment should be avoided. Therefore, it is necessary to understand in detail the nature of the disease, the changes in the length of day and night, which disease the blood bile is associated with that causes its intensity, location and time, and the specific location of bleeding. After that, take appropriate measures such as fasting, nourishing the body, purifying the body, or conditioning with medicine. Bile disease caused by eating warm and spicy foods, if mixed with many diseases, and the body is weak and blood flows upward, then a laxative should be used; if the blood flows downward, then an emetic should be used.
