疾病是，如果多做福德和善事，由业产生，疾病就能痊愈。风、胆、痰的病因，以及由前世的业两种原因产生的疾病，风、胆等病因本身和罪恶的业得以清净就能痊愈。一切疾病有两种情况：像风病和胆病那样，在自身的位置变成疾病，这叫做自身位置的自主之病。像风病和胆病那样，不在各自的位置，进入对方胆或者痰的位置，这就是疾病进入他人的位置，叫做依赖他人的疾病。自身的位置和他人的位置，这两种也要知道各自有两种情况。那是什么呢？无论什么疾病侵袭，首先要知道是什么疾病的性质，以及从那个疾病中扩展开来，要知道是什么反作用的损害之病，这有两种情况。这两种疾病是自身位置完全自主和他人位置无自主，这样要知道疾病的两种情况。其中像风病和胆病那样，从自身位置自身位置发病的叫做自主，这很容易显现并被认识。像胆或者痰的位置进入风病而发病，这叫做进入他人的疾病，叫做他主，无论是胆还是痰进入，都可以，对于它，如果像治疗胆或者痰那样进行治疗，风病就能痊愈。对于粪便、尿液和灰尘，也要知道疾病自身和他人的位置两种情况。

Diseases are such that if one performs great meritorious deeds and virtues, and they arise from karma, the disease will be cured. Diseases arising from both the causes of wind, bile, and phlegm, and from previous karma, can be cured by purifying the very causes of wind, bile, etc., and the sinful karma. All diseases have two aspects: like wind and bile diseases, when they become diseases in their own place, they are called self-originated diseases of their own place. Like wind and bile diseases, when they are not in their respective places, but wind enters the place of bile or phlegm, it is called a disease that has entered another's place and is dependent on others. These two, one's own place and another's place, should also be understood as having two aspects each. What are they? Whatever disease strikes, one must first know what kind of disease it is, and from that disease, what kind of reactive harm has arisen, these are the two aspects. These two diseases are self-originated in one's own place and non-self-originated in another's place. Thus, one should understand the two aspects of diseases. Among them, like wind and bile diseases, when a disease arises from one's own place in one's own place, it is called self-originated, and it is easy to manifest and be recognized. Like when wind disease enters the place of bile or phlegm and arises, it is called a disease that has entered another's place, called other-dependent. No matter whether it is bile or phlegm that enters, if one treats it like treating bile or phlegm, the wind disease will be cured. For feces, urine, and dust, one should also understand the two aspects of the disease itself and another's place.

These subtle differences should be carefully studied, and the nature of the disease and the medicine should be combined, so that the treatment of the patient can be accurate. Is the patient's disease large or small? What is the shape of the disease, such as tumors and pimples? It is also necessary to understand the size of the patient's pulse, the size of the body, and the strength of the energy. Even if the disease appears to be different from other diseases, the doctor must remain sober and observe carefully. Judge the patient's cold and heat by touching, and treat it. If it is thought that the disease is small, and the patient is allowed to eat unsuitable food, or the amount of food is not controlled, the disease will worsen. If the disease is serious, but the amount of laxative is insufficient or the laxative is not strong enough, it means that a small dose of medicine is used, which will cause the disease to recur and cannot be cured.
