Eat astringent foods. Drink wine that has been aged for a long time. Do not indulge in pleasure or sleep. Take various kinds of strenuous actions. Massage with something rougher than the mind. In particular, administer emetics and purgatives. Use honey and fat-reducing medicines. Perform fasting, exorcism, fumigation, filling the cheeks, and applying oil. Do uncomfortable things for the sake of comfort. Treat each disease separately. This is explained based on inferences from the diseases. For concurrent and combined conditions, diagnose according to their respective situations. If wind combines with other factors, wind and bile combinations mostly occur in autumn, wind and phlegm combinations mostly occur in spring, and phlegm and bile combinations mostly occur in autumn. Among combinations, wind is the most important. Complete mixtures have the characteristics of both. Combining with fire causes burning, and combining with the moon causes cooling. Eliminate diseases when they begin to manifest. If a disease manifests, treat it without delay. If all factors are present simultaneously, the situation is very serious. Treat the disease itself without causing other harm. Diseases can be alleviated with combined therapies. Anything that causes other diseases to worsen is impure. Other pure therapies do not cause diseases to worsen and are completely pure. Strenuous labor, spicy foods, and irritating behaviors, as well as using harmful items, can cause wind to enter the body, limbs, bones, and vital points. Similarly, wind can also arise through purifying the channels. Mature wind that is blocked will gather in the abdomen. Staying there, it will remain in the channels for a long time. When it gains time and strength, it will manifest even if it relies on other factors. When it moves from one location to another, it has no strength of its own. To treat it, use one's own strength to suppress other factors. If the underlying disease is pacified, then the disease that remains in its own location does not need treatment. In most cases, diseases that occur in the ribs and sides cause patients to suffer for a long time. By understanding the strength of the body's fire, do not rush to take measures. It can be alleviated with combined therapies, or comfortably collected into the abdomen. After knowing that it has gathered in the abdomen, eliminate it according to its proximity. The appearance and closure of pores, weakening of strength, heaviness of the body, wind disorder in the pores, abdominal discomfort, indigestion, excessive saliva, incontinence of feces and urine, mental exhaustion, and loss of appetite are common symptoms of diseases that have not been pacified. If the disease is pacified, the opposite is true. Due to the weakening of abdominal heat and strength, the body's initial nutrients cannot be digested. If the disease enters the stomach, then it is undigested food residue.
