克折损,树胶消除风和痰,能止痛,能生胆汁,消化后味辣,开胃,能增温,助消化,轻身。诃子味涩,消化后味甜,粗糙且无咸味,但性温,助消化,调心绪,能延年益寿,是殊胜之品,性温,能治霍乱,能明智增力,能治麻风、面色身色不佳、失音、陈旧顽固之疫病、脑病、眼病、白内障、黄疸、胃病,以及消瘦引起的浮肿、尿道疾病,能止泻、解狂乱、酒醉,能驱虫,能治多涎、痰多、气喘、痔疮、脾肿大、腹胀、中毒,能治三者增盛、闭经、肿瘤,以及衰老、呕吐、食欲不振,能治风和痰引起的疾病,此物即能除彼病。余甘子也同样清凉,味酸,能消除痰和胆汁,但功德略逊于诃子,消化后味热甜,有益于头发和眼睛。此三种果实,是滋补上品,能治眼病,能生肌、治皮肤病、疮疖,以及消除脂肪过多、糖尿病、痰血。肉桂、豆蔻、荜茇三种,加上冰片共四种香物。丁香性烈,能生胆汁,粗糙且能增温,开胃,味道和消化后的味道都辛辣,能除痰,且轻身。荜茇湿润能增力,味甜,性凉,重且油腻,干燥的则与之相反,油腻,味咸辣,消化后味甜,能消除痰、风,以及痰多、气喘,能止泻。此二者除了滋补以外,不宜与他物过多混合。苘麻子能增力,味咸,能止泻,悦意,能消除坚硬,能开胃,但消化后味甜,能润肠,性温,能消除痰和风。石榴子也一样,这些能治三种热病,即肌肉肥大,以及消化能力减弱和气喘,能治痰多、腿肿、感冒。菖蒲、荜茇根,丁香功德略小。白花丹药力与火相等,能治浮肿病、痔疮、寄生虫病、麻风病。这些之中除了丁香以外,称为五辛。能治大肿瘤、腹水、腹胀,能止痛,是增温之上品。荜茇、石榴皮、诃梨勒,以及阿梨勒和杜仲,此五大根性涩、苦、温,能治风和
