Furthermore, just as multiple sounds prevent the understanding of multiple meanings, and a single sound, like the essence of language, prevents the understanding of multiple meanings, and multiple sounds, like logical statements, allow the understanding of a single meaning, and a single sound, like showing self-nature, shows a single meaning, so too should it be applied to things understood through signs. Giving is like for what purpose, meaning, need, and result, or where offerings and prostrations are made. Thus, the result of action and agent is activity, and the meaning of activity is to give correctly here. Its divisions should be combined through action and agent. The meaning of source or cause is that when something exists in something, and that thing is separated, born, distinguished, and specialized from that thing, then the meaning becomes that. Because it depends on the seventh meaning, its meaning should be understood. The sixth is that the word of the owner shows the remaining words, thus eliminating the boundaries of sound and doubt. The four cases eliminate three, the three cases eliminate two, and the two cases eliminate one. Therefore, this is definitely a certain grasp. When asking for whose sake the meaning is shown, it becomes a question of what range is shown between the remaining ones. When asking whose is the remainder, it becomes 'it is mine.' From action to the place of dependence, the sixth sound is used to eliminate boundaries. In transmission, the former merges into the latter to eliminate. There are four places of dependence, namely four: the four places of dependence on self-nature, the four places of dependence on action, the four places of dependence on power, and the four places of dependence on possession. There are four places of dependence on self-nature: all pervaded by all, like sesame seeds pervaded by sesame oil, is equally pervasive; part pervaded by part is not, like smoke, is unequally pervasive; part pervaded by all, like sandalwood pervading wood with sandalwood, is the pervader being vast; all pervaded by part, like light pervading the sky, is the pervaded being vast. There are also four places of dependence on action: dependence on action that is completely transformed, like fire and water burning and abandoning; complete
