Just as with oneself, because it is impossible to have a common similarity. If it possesses that characteristic, it will become unique or special. Those things that do not possess that characteristic, because there may also be commonalities, therefore do not have the ability to show uniqueness. The second combination called "Eliminating the Measure of Time" is completed. Now, in order to explain the necessity of eliminating these, it is said: "After eliminating caste and time, Whatever is to be shown, That is the desired purpose." That is to say, those sounds that show the meaning of their own words, eliminating others, and only showing those meanings is the purpose, that is the necessity of combining sounds. Its distinction should be understood as words that eliminate time. The third combination called "The Combination of Actions for a Purpose" is completed. In order to show the fourth combination, it is said: "How many combinations of meanings, Show what is entered, With what letters are shown, That is what is named." Thus it is said, naming is the name of the combination shown by the previous teachers is called that. How many names there are, are the names shown before. The fourth combination called "Naming Combination" is completed. Which is not touched by the ripening, the non-discriminating consciousness, Unspeakable, not possessing speech, not touched by speech, Established as a symbol, speech becomes clear, after those two are spoken, Please see this which is beneficial for comprehending the non-discriminating with consciousness, The Able One, together with his retinue, showed the establishment for the commonality of beings. Because of the transmission through establishment, language is shown by form, those who show, Beings are called so, those who are led by extreme delusion, Attaching to aspects in meaning, and attaching to the speech of aspects, Speech is named and attached to, recognizing form in language. Those who do not even have the entry of language, Children and fools have done these together, May those people become skilled in sound and meaning, May they enter the meaning of non-discrimination and unspeakable! The commentary on the treatise on sound called "Entering All Speech," possessing four combinations, was completed by the great scholar Subhāṣakīrti in the treatise expressing the same essence.
