Because of that. (Verse) After relying on the meaning, such words as these, the ting words, the a-taṅ and taṅ, the parts of the words are three each, first, middle, and last, know them as three persons. What does this mean? It refers to the names related to the ting words just mentioned, that is, the three parts of the words of a-taṅ etc. and taṅ etc., which should be understood sequentially as the first person, the middle person, and the last person. Examples of a-taṅ etc. are: tip (Sanskrit transliteration), third person singular. tas (Sanskrit transliteration), third person plural. jhi (Sanskrit transliteration), third person plural. This is the first person. sip (Sanskrit transliteration), second person singular. tas (Sanskrit transliteration), third person plural. tha (Sanskrit transliteration), second person plural. This is the middle person. mahing (Sanskrit transliteration), first person. This is the last person. Words such as singular, dual, and plural, the sequence of three meanings such as one, etc., changes sequentially. One itself uses the singular word ti, two itself uses the dual word tas, many itself uses the plural word jhi. Similarly, sip etc. should also be applied in this way. Two itself uses the dual word tām, many itself uses the plural word jña. For one, two, and many, the three words singular, dual, and plural as stated in this root text change sequentially. Why do these also obtain names such as first? Because everything that the Blessed One and Chandra Gomi did here, therefore it is said: After relying on the meaning, such words as these, that is, following the part of the meaning, these names such as the first person are obtained. For example, the person born first is the first person, from the difference of expressing first, ibhirya, makes consciousness manifest. Thinking differently from that is the way of imputation, and that too becomes definite when analyzed in detail through direct perception and inference. Because that very word is also a person in tip etc., it is the middle person. Superior to the middle etc., this is the superior one, this is the superior, what becomes the last is the last, called uttala. What excels among uttala and many, with ta rab ta mas etc., therefore it is tamas. khar la tsa rai jhi la'o, therefore it is the ta letter of the da letter. For non-difference there is also the name of separation, for example, rāho sa raḥ, sila putra ka sa śa rīraṃ etc. The word that understands one meaning is the singular word.

English
O! Meaning Two. The word that understands two meanings is the word of two. The word that understands many meanings is the word of many. Therefore, these terms that have been made are the intention of the author of the treatise. Know that Ata is the doer. Not things and actions. What is the meaning of this sentence? Ata etc. should be mainly explained as the doer. Not things and actions. For example: बुद्धो भगवान् सर्व्व जानाति (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Buddha, the Blessed One, knows everything). Therefore, सर्वज्ञः (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: All-knowing). This is from Ata to Bala etc. actions. Jita is also a variation from Ata to Aza. When wanting to explain the meaning of the word All-knowing, the first declension etc. सर्वज्ञो धर्म देशयति (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: All-knowing teaches the Dharma). etc. should be well connected. ई दत्यः (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: I Datya). प्रतिपति पृथ विं (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Pratipati Pritha Vim). चन्द्रो विभाति लोकः सन्म र्गे तिष्ठति (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: The moon shines, the world exists in the good path). Things, actions, and doers, the "dang" etc. should be regarded as three. On the base, for things without actions, it changes to the singular word of the first case. If it is also said that "dang" and "an" etc. should be observed, even if it is said in common like this, because it is not all, therefore for the things of action meanings, "dang" and "an" etc. will change. However, only from the action meanings without actions, all persons, the first person, the middle person, and the last person will not change. All words will also not change. Therefore, for the action meaning itself without actions, it will only change to the singular word of the first person. For example: स्थीयते देवदत्तेन (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Standing by Devadatta). स्थीयन्ते (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Standing). etc. should never be connected. Therefore, because the thing itself is one, only the singular word should be spoken. On the base, for the doer with and without actions, "dang" and "an" are spoken. What is the meaning of this sentence? When "dang" and "an" etc. are used for the doer, all the meanings of actions, as well as the meanings with and without actions, are also like that. For those with actions, for example: कटं कुरुते देवदत्तः (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Devadatta makes a mat). अपचत ओदनं विष्णुमितः (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Vishnu Mitra cooks rice). जयत याज्ञकः (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Yajnyaka wins). भजते बुद्धधर्मीकः (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Buddhist devotee worships). आश्रयते राजनं सेवकः (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: The servant relies on the king). नयत भारङ्गाम वावान (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Nayata Bharanggama Vavana). etc., for those with fruits. From the separate explanation in reading, it is "dang". लभते ग्रामं विष्णुमत्रः (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Vishnu Matra obtains a village). आरभते शस्त्रमुपाध्यायच्छत्रेभ्यः (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Begins the weapon for the students). श्लाघते (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Praises).
