That which is called "severing the connection of the ground" is connection because it connects subsequently. It is the substance itself, etc., which cannot be understood by any part. It distinguishes and understands the difference from other dissimilar aspects. What are the differences in subsequent connections? For example, "If something is absent, fire does not arise," and so on. If so, shouldn't it be said, "If something is absent, smoke does not change," in order to make the smoke clear? Why is this said? Answer: There is no fault because it is said, "This meaning is explained only in this way." In that case, if something is absent and fire does not change, then smoke will not change either. Alternatively, the phrase "whatever are the connections" should be connected as "whatever are the connections following only smoke," that is, whatever connects only smoke is stated for the purpose of showing what is absent, etc. That is, whatever is absent and fire does not change, those alone are what connect smoke. The statement "the subsequent connections understand the difference from others" is illustrated with an example, such as "only the difference between fire and non-fire." Why is only difference understood and not distinction? The answer is given: "From self and connection and conformity," and so on. This is the cause of action, not the sign. Thus, the connection and conformity with it are stated by "this." The statement "not seen in all places without fire" explains that the difference is mainly not seen in all dissimilar aspects. The word "also" in "also seen in others" clarifies that although it is not seen exclusively, it is not the main follower. Thus, for what reason is the difference, which is the accumulation of following, the main connection? It is also from head to toe. Because of the difference and non-difference, from that and conformity, it is only fire here through the gate of difference. Non-fire does not change, so it only understands the difference from non-fire, not the distinction. In any case, just as there is a connection with fire itself, so too with the substance itself and the qualities, etc.

Those are also understood only by knowing the opposite of non-materiality, etc. To understand the reason through the opposite way, for this, other reasons are also stated: the very quality of fragrance, with its distinctions, etc. 'One increase' means each increase. The non-materiality of the very quality, this means that because it is material, it is the very quality, thus distinguishing the non-materiality of the very quality of lotus, etc. Like that, in all those, it is not seen in the non-material, but seen in the material. Here, when distinguishing non-materiality, first there is one increase, ask relying on what. By distinguishing through increase, in order to show that meaning well, therefore it is said the non-materiality of the very quality. Therefore, when distinguishing by one increase of the very quality, there is the object of the limb. If it distinguishes non-materiality to establish, then ask, distinguish through increase, otherwise it is not. Even so, in the verse, the words of classification are at the end, and the sound of the very quality does not contradict, because the other words have the same function. The smell itself is not produced from earth, nor is it non-material, because of the smell itself, so it is necessary to distinguish what is not produced from earth and non-materiality. The very fragrance itself, with the non-commonality of fragrance, like smell, this is because of the very fragrance itself, so the very fragrance itself also distinguishes from the previous ones and the non-commonality of fragrance, the difference of smell, the commonality of fragrance, in general is the commonality of fragrance, here what is intended to be expressed is only smell. Whatever does not have the commonality of fragrance, that is what is said like that, meaning fragrance. The difference of fragrance, in lotus etc. is the difference of smell. Like that, by distinguishing non-materiality etc., each increase, lotus etc. are done through the very quality etc.
