Furthermore, as long as the dharma is not established, the assembly cannot exist. Because it is not firmly remembered, it cannot become a dharma-distinguished subject of dharma. If it is established for the subject of dharma, then later the assembly will arise, but at that time, the very thing to be established will disappear, because it has already been established. Therefore, some people worry about arguing that it is impossible for there to be a reason for the thing to be inferred, so they said, "What is to be inferred is," and so on. Here, even if the sound of dharma is a general term, in the case of establishment, it only approaches that desire for whose benefit it is established. What is that? It is the dharma with the characteristic of the difference that one wants to understand, because for the dharma of the subject of dharma that one does not want to understand, no one with conceptual thought will propose establishment. Therefore, for the subject of dharma that has already been established, whatever leads to establishment, only the dharma that one wants to understand can be understood by the sound of dharma, and what is distinguished by this is the meaning of distinguishing from other things. From this, it will only become this meaning, that is, the subject of dharma distinguished by what one wants to understand. In this way, whatever one wants to understand, whatever distinguishes it, this desire to understand will be distinguished, so the statement "the assembly is to be established" can only be understood by relying on the dharma that one wants to understand. Relying on the establishment of the dharma of future time, it separately shows the subject of dharma distinguished by the dharma, but at the time of seeing the sign, the dharma-distinguished itself does not exist, because there is no true understanding of the dharma, this is what others say. Because understanding is the occasion of reason, understanding is abandoned by meaning, after determining this, they said, "For what is seen is," and so on, for refers to what is to be inferred. Manifest or refers to smoke, etc., for the one who sees the side with smoke, who has a nature different from other things, who has an uncommon self-nature, it is through manifestation, how through the power of manifestation.

The determination of the object of distinction of memory arises later as the knowledge of the sign of memory. That is not a valid cognition, because there is no realization of an object that can be accomplished without understanding it. Only the first is a valid cognition, because it is the opposite of that. This is the very nature of valid cognition. Why? Because valid cognition is established only by relying on objects. And why is that? Because the engagement of seeking an object is only with an object that can be accomplished. From this, it should be understood that the distinctions of subjects and predicates, etc., are not valid cognitions. Moreover, those who argue that cognitions of signs, etc., which are not included within direct perception and inference, are obtained as other valid cognitions, are declaring themselves to be fools. Or, inference is said to be inferred by signs such as impermanence, etc., because of being made, etc. The term "later" should be connected separately, meaning "later than direct perception" or "later than inference." The term "inference" here also applies to the knowledge of signs, as it is said, "This is the cause of being inferred directly or indirectly, so both are inference, having made the act of doing." In the phrase "by the general nature of the predicate," mentioning the general nature is to eliminate the meaning of the uncommon nature. Because it cannot be inferred by that. That also cannot be made an object by the knowledge arising after direct perception, etc., because it is always with conceptualization, and conceptualizations are always objects of the general. Here, too, in "also to those of its kind," it should be connected with "by the general nature." If so, there is a fault in applying to something different when distinguished by the subject, but if it is not distinguished, it will not become the nature of what is to be inferred? No, because it is distinguished by excluding what is not possessed, like saying, "The black one is holding an umbrella." If that is the case, then the distinction of the predicate to be established is comparison
