It is about treatises, meaning the reason for treatises. It will be said like this: You have admitted that treatises are objects with their own characteristics. So, among them, which ones, through inference, are not even the touch of what is seen? Stating it this way, it is only the reason for your treatise, not an object with its own characteristics. Because what is established by scripture is only what you yourselves say, it is not well-known to oneself. Please, what are you thinking when you say this? The answer is: it is based on clear thinking about the soundless sign. Abandoning the sound called "scripture" is like this, the sign is called "touch," and it alone can prove the existence of wind. Therefore, you are considering the power of the treatise you have admitted, and for the sign that has no effect, the inference arising from it, we say that it is not an object with its own characteristics, but not because we ourselves think that wind and so on are established from scripture, so there should be no dispute. If so, then how can what arises from sound become an object with its own characteristics? To prove this, it is said, "What arises from sound is also," and so on, and the so-called "no connection" refers to the time of agreement. The clear understanding of the connection between sound and meaning is only that in the time of agreeing on the meaning, only the generality of experience is understood from the sound, not its own characteristics, because it has not been seen before. At the time of complete combination, it is impossible to doubt the nature of the special object. In the time of agreement, one's own characteristics are obvious, so it may be doubted whether it is an object. Therefore, it is said, "no connection." The meaning of what is seen refers to where it is seen through direct perception. The meaning of what is not seen refers to the opposite situation. The so-called special recognition of the name in the meaning of what is seen, such as "This is Panasa," here only the connection will be specially recognized. This is not inference, because the meaning itself is manifest. Unseen
