To. Furthermore, if because it is already established, this characteristic of direct perception should not be proven, then what is it? If the dharma is the characteristic of the cause of direct perception, then direct perception is not the cause, because it is merely focused on what is already existing. Only this much should be said. Although it changes like that, If there is something that definitely indicates its own nature, then something with such characteristics is direct perception, because it definitely understands its own nature, so it is established as not being the cause, otherwise it is not. If there is nothing that definitely indicates its own nature, then its own nature is not understood, then it is not established, and it only relies on proving its characteristics, so it cannot be freed from refutation. The saying "spoken by the one with the distinction of the senses" means that the object distinguished only by the senses is a conjugal partner, such as the form of the eye and so on. Therefore, it is appropriate to say this: when encountering forms and so on. If it changes again, knowledge arises from the encounter of self, senses, mind, and object, and it cannot be expressed by the sounds of forms and so on, so "existence" is mentioned in order to understand it. The word "of the senses" is to indicate closeness, just as saying "guard the yogurt from the crows." If you think so, only "existence" and so on make the previous establishment clearer. Although it changes like that, "it does not apply to non-existent things" means that this is not existence. Like this, non-existent things, such as mirages and so on, are also seen to be repeatedly and correctly combined, and if the reason is not established because of this, then, (the text) says: "Anything" and so on, because it is the object of apparent direct perception, it is apparent direct perception. Precisely because of this, they are non-existent things. Therefore, some of them have never met correctly, therefore, it is not reasonable to say "existence" in order to negate them. Although it changes like that, if "existence" is not mentioned, then the mistaken knowledge of two moons and so on will also become direct perception. Therefore,

If it is said that it is mentioned for the sake of dispelling, that is not correct. Because merely mentioning that it is correctly encountered already dispels it. Therefore, this has already been said. If that is the case, then how are those that do not correctly encounter it the consciousnesses that appear as water, etc.? The answer is: it is the difference of the object, etc., that is, in the difference of the object such as arid land and hot places, etc. And even there, it is not at all times, but when the sun's rays correctly scorch it, then it becomes a cause, otherwise it is not. What is said is "from the scorching of the sun." "Not to be shown" is because one's own characteristic is not to be shown. "Gradually" means first the sense consciousness, then the mental discrimination that ascertains similarity. Then, remembering things similar to water, etc. In between, without interruption, the delusion of 'this is it,' the consciousness of mind will focus on the general. "Without that meaning" means being considered as water, etc. Because it arises only from the difference of the immediately preceding cause. "If" etc., the distinction made is only from the distinction made, explained by relying correctly, thus showing. Or, the word "sat" in "whatever whatever" is also used for good, like "holy person." "It dissolves" here also, the word "sat" with the meaning of "how it exists," from the meaning of the root and confusion, cannot be used to understand the meaning of the root. Likewise, it also has the meaning of dissolving. In that way, the meaning of other senses, such as dust, etc., also dissolves into the sense. The word "etc." should be understood to include strings of ears, etc. Eye medicine, etc., are also good because they are benefactors. Therefore, when encountering it, it will also become manifest. Then, what dissolves into which sense, because it does not enter into others, so from the words "that sense," what is intended to be said here is the dissolving that has the nature of being close to the object of the sense. The good meaning is also said here because it is appropriate, and it is appropriate.
