If asked, according to reason, how is it that what is experienced by sense consciousness is remembered by mind? This is only the fault of the opponent, because they think that what is experienced by others cannot be remembered by others. We think that in the same continuum, what is experienced by others can also be remembered, so there is no fault. If asked, can one remember what has not been experienced? If you think that only by mind can one remember what has not been experienced, then one will remember what has not been experienced, because mind has not experienced it before. If asked, is it because of this reason that you think that consciousness arises in the second moment, so you say that consciousness arises simultaneously with the activity of the senses? The answer is, as said before, and so on. It is said in the scriptures, do the senses and consciousness simultaneously grasp external objects? The answer should be no. Why? Because the senses that grasp the same object are not capable of thinking when they are thinking. It should be said like this, if you also think that the nature of the fruit of the two, the senses and consciousness, grasping external objects is the same function, then the power of the senses themselves will not change, and they will not have meaning. Both grasp external objects, This refers to the same function. Because both grasp external objects, the senses will not have meaning. How can this be? If the mind that is temporarily entering the external object does not depend on the help given by the activity of the senses, then the senses will become completely meaningless, because only consciousness can grasp the external object, thus accomplishing the enjoyment of the person. The activity of the senses appears as external objects, but it is not grasped by the grasping of consciousness, and it is not in harmony with those (grasping of consciousness), and it is without discrimination. That is, the analysis of the door and the doorkeeper is said, the person will think about the grasping of the senses that becomes one in consciousness, the grasping of the senses will

That is not the meaning. Therefore, only the mind has the function of a door, and the doors are the senses. However, this is also flawed, if it is thought that they do the same thing at the same time, then both will become doors and things with the function of doors. For the blind and others, objects such as form will also become obvious. If it is said that the mind's complete reliance on external objects depends on the help of the senses, because the mind itself has no ability, then this is also untenable. Because in this way, the senses will also become incapable. Why is it thought so? Because conditioned entry is impossible. When the entry of the senses, like the light of a lamp, must occur simultaneously, then the mind can enter in order to grasp external objects. Just as when there is light, the eyes can enter, and the light only works simultaneously, when the entry of the senses exists, the mind can enter in order to grasp external objects, and the entry of the senses only works simultaneously. Moreover, since the entry of consciousness is not the object to be grasped, it will become ungathered and unconditional at all times. The attachments of the senses are also said to be meaningful only after they are unified with consciousness, otherwise they are not. Therefore, if these attachments of the senses follow the attachments of the mind, then those with mind can correctly recognize the things unified with the mind. Moreover, things that are completely combined with the mind should be understood as the measure that arises as they are, otherwise they will not become measure. Some people think that unconditional entry is the obvious measure, and conditional entry is the result. For these people, since the entry with discrimination as mentioned above is impossible, there is no result, and without result there is no measure, because things without result cannot be measure. Because the eyes and mind are doors and things with the function of doors. We do not have the ability to speculate whether these are doing the same thing, because of what?
