It is said so because it is established due to proximity. "Blessing" means entering the same place together with it. Here, the meaning of blessing is togetherness. For example, when the king's man blesses and enters, it should be understood as being with him. Others say that "blessing with the mind" means completely knowing with the mind. As it is said: If the senses are attached to external objects, then the mind also follows the attachment of the senses. This treatise says that only the objects of the senses are the aspects of external objects, and the objects of the mind should be completely known. Therefore, it should be understood that because it is together with the objects of the senses, it is not an external object. Therefore, whatever the objects of the ears and other senses are, they should be held by the objects of the mind, and that is called being blessed by it. It should be known that the objects of the senses are completely transformed into its aspect when its own object becomes close. It is again divided into two types: with conditions and without conditions. Condition refers to the awareness arising from a person, and it should be said that its nature is sentient, which is the nature of experiencing objects. This is also my nature, not any other, because there is no consciousness. Whatever is gathered together with the condition arising from a person, showing it as being of the same essence, is conditioned. For example, when burning, the lump of iron mixes with fire, although it is not its nature, it appears as the nature of fire. Similarly, although the object is not the nature of experience, it appears as the nature of sentient beings because it is mixed with sentient beings. Whatever the object is like the light of a lamp, merely illuminating the object, but not mixing with sentient beings and appearing as its nature, that is called unconditioned. In order to dispel that unconditioned object, it is said that holding is the object in progress. The phrase "how the order is from sound, touch, color, taste, and smell" explains that it is certain to be the object of one's own object.

Thus, the place is determined. If it is only the function of the ear, etc., that holds sounds, etc., then what is it that holds and functions? And what is the function? Some say that the root's place has no interval, and the function is like the destruction of Kasha, or like water thrown upwards, the function does not reside in the place itself, it should be said like this. The resident is that the appearance of the place is completely transformed, which is the complete holding. For those without intervals, such as the nose, etc., in them, also due to the association of the root's place, the transformation arises without intervals, it should be known that the appearance of the place itself is the incomplete function. The completeness from this is the inner holding. Others say that in order to show the meaning that the functions are without discrimination, it is said that the holding and functioning of these sounds, etc., are different. This should be said like this, only those who function by holding themselves are direct perception, and not in other appearances. If in discrimination, this does not exist, so, but by the king's diviners, etc., those who discriminate are regarded as direct perception, and this difference is based on them. All functions only function by holding, not by discriminating. Those who hold and function are the meaning of their own nature. Others say that the function without conditions is the measure, and those with conditions are regarded as the result. Those who hold and function should also be said like this, in holding, in the result, the cause of holding is the meaning of function. The root has no boundaries, which means that the fault of the roots becoming boundless. How? As said, those, etc., as said, the deaf, when the nine roots exist, do not hear the sound, so the ear is the place of sound, from this it should be known that the skin, etc., function in their own place. The three qualities are the three qualities themselves, like the three realms themselves. Increase is increase, and decrease is decrease.
