I said that whatever declines, that harms the admission. What are those two? This is the answer to that question. Here, in order to completely avoid the contradiction of the two natures of one thing, for example, the edge of what is seen is indicated by "for example" etc. Because when the yoga of yogis is complete, for those who see their own nature, that own nature also becomes the object to be grasped, and also becomes the grasper. To say that other things are the result, this is not desired, if that were the case, it would become a fault, so it was said. "If other things are" etc. If one's own nature is understood, then it is knowledge etc. This shows that: using the example of one's own nature to measure other things, it is impossible to achieve two kinds of distinct knowledge, because the example and the probandum are dissimilar. However, only when one's own nature is understood, will it become two things of knowledge, even when one's own nature is understood, according to the two forms of knowledge, for the valid cognition and the object to be measured, I am the only one who hopes for it, and that is also because you establish the tenet by using one's own nature as an example. If that is the case, then just as the lamp dispels darkness is the result of other things, dispelling ignorance etc. will also become the result, this is shown. This also has no distinction of object, this is stated closely. By "not all" it is said that the establishment of the result is not pervasive. Why is this not all? It is said "in some things" etc., merely intention, merely attention. For what, knowledge arises merely through the effort of what, then ignorance of that does not exist, for example, some wise people for some crafts, just like worldly knowledge, for some objects of knowledge, also arises merely through effort. It is said to contradict pervasiveness. "Cessation exists, not the result." The meaning is that the absence of ignorance etc. is the cessation of ignorance etc. For non-existent things, there is no function at all, because there is no close statement. A thing that is not a function should also not be a thing to be measured. It is not the meaning of a thing that should become the result of valid cognition.
