Furthermore, if someone asks, why does this appear to be an example? The answer is "by this" and so on. Through "not the only one" and so on, it is acknowledged that consciousness and pot, etc., appear to be examples, and it is shown that the characteristics are not all-pervasive. Because the meaning of non-establishment itself is not a fault of the example. The reason and what is to be established are not both possessed. It has already been briefly explained through "etc." From "what is to be established and similar dharma nature" etc., what is to be established is sound, etc., the subject of dharma. The similar dharma nature to this is the nature of being made, etc. From what is to be established and the similar dharma nature, its dharma is understood, that is, the dharma of what is to be established, impermanence, etc. The way of understanding and comprehending its dharma is "is this," that is, of those who are universally understood in the world. Whatever meaning with which consciousness does not agree, that is the example, such as pot, etc. That is the statement of the example, because it is to be stated as an example, therefore it is the statement of the example. Or, through this, the relationship between what is to be established and the dharma of what can be established should be stated as an example, this is the statement of the example. From that opposite situation, it is also reversed, this is the example, that is, stated as an example, this is the subsequent application. From that, it tends towards what is to be established and the similar dharma nature. The opposite of that is what is to be established and the dissimilar dharma nature. From what is to be established and the dissimilar dharma nature, it is the example statement of the reversed example, that is, the meaning of the example statement of the dissimilar dharma nature. In establishing that sound is impermanent, because it is the nature of being made, like a pot, or like space. This is in order. Here, the meaning of "also" is that not only is there a fault in the establishment of the debate, then what is it? Here, "also" is the meaning of the word "also." If it is only the meaning of the reason, such as the example, etc., then it is not one aspect of the reason. If that is the case, like my statement, it will undoubtedly not be said to be related to the meaning of the reason. What fault is there in that? The answer is: "Even so" etc. And how are similar dharma nature and dissimilar dharma nature?

If not, then it would become that the sky itself is the example. If asked, the answer is: It exists. And so on. Even for the sky, there is the similarity of sound and dharma to be proven, and the tangibility, etc. There are also dissimilar dharmas, such as being inaudible and non-living, etc. From there, only one would become two examples, from where would the similar and dissimilar dharmas become not examples? Because there is no taking of any slight difference here. So, isn't the sky an example of dissimilar dharma? Why would it become that? It means that any action would become an example of dissimilar dharma. Therefore, being inaudible is specifically mentioned. The former, it is said, understands its dharma from the thing to be proven and the similar dharma. And this, it is said, understands its dharma from the thing to be proven and the dissimilar dharma. This is also the former, because it depends on the remainder of the sutra. Because of this, etc., the reason for not mentioning similar and dissimilar dharmas is explained. The meaning of not including external meaning is that the meaning other than similar and dissimilar dharmas is the external meaning. That is also universal, meaning that it does not arise without it. Its inclusion is to combine with the object to be understood, meaning to make it clear. Without it, there is no function of understanding the example. Although it may change that way, universality is only obtained by understanding its dharma, and if it is not that way, it is impossible to understand its dharma. Therefore it is said: even the understanding of its dharma is not established. Or means separation. It means not mentioning examples with similar and dissimilar dharmas. Just as it is impossible to exist without it, so by understanding its dharma, universality is abandoned, similarly, similar dharma, etc., it is impossible to exist without it, therefore it is also said.
