Someone asked: Regarding this, isn't the reason for not stating it because it doesn't clearly show the cause? Answer: Why is that? The reason has been stated: They mutually become what is to be proven. It means that if it doesn't exist, it won't arise, and that is the connection. Others are not close to inference. Because it says "those." If it exists for both, it will become a commitment. Otherwise, it should be said that what is to be proven clearly shows the connection to the reason. In that case, it will also become mutually becoming what is to be proven. How to show it? For example, because it is newly produced. And "only similar dharma," etc. For example, like a pot, just this similar dharma, without a contrary term, cannot clearly show that if it doesn't exist, it won't arise. Through understanding by meaning, etc., just through the combination of similar dharma, it approaches showing pervasion, then only through implication is the opposite situation understood. Only this is said to be shown, such as "whatever is newly produced," etc. If that's the case, then it is also not what is to be expressed. In order to excellently show the non-similar aspects of what is to be proven and what proves, should this be stated? It is also established only from other aspects, so it shouldn't be stated. This might change. If it is said that this is stated in order to show the combination of non-similar dharma, then the answer is: That non-similar aspect does not exist, it won't arise. And "for the connection," etc. If you accept what is to be proven through the combination of completely examined non-similar dharma, that's good, if you strive to excellently show it. Then, because there is not that, this is unreasonable. If it is said that the constant is not produced from effort, then if it shows what is to be proven, why won't it be accepted? Because of that "other," etc. Apart from that, excellently proving also shows, saying: Only without commitment, etc. When excellently showing the connection between the constant and not produced from effort, it will show only those things that are to be proven and that prove.

Some things that are helpful to the previous argument are not so. Here, even the probans becomes helpful when it fully shows the relationship of the inconsistent aspects, because the thing to be proven fully shows pervasiveness, so it must follow the argument. Whenever it can show that permanence does not arise from effort, then it can only be understood that the nature of destruction arises from effort; not the other, because contradictory things cannot exist on one thing. If you say so, then (the answer) says: "Even the probans," and so on. This explains that the commitment based on the Sautrantika school has been lost. "If they do not exist mutually, they will not arise." This sentence, from the sentence "must show the relationship of those inconsistent aspects," explains that if the two do not exist mutually, they will not arise, that is, it is necessary to explain non-arising. From that point, lightning and so on will also become permanent, so it will be harmed by the commitment. "Born from effort" means born from effort, that is, it means appearing immediately after effort arises. The meaning of the sentence "The meaning of non-establishment itself is the fault of the example" is that "non-establishment" means "there are many grains," and then the causes and conditions of things. "Because it is not tangible, sound is permanent, like wisdom," this is the non-establishment of the dharma to be proven itself. "Like a vase," this is the non-establishment of the dharma to be proven and the dharma to be proven. In the sentence "This only states the relationship," from the sentence "Whatever states," whatever can show the relationship between the thing to be proven and the thing to be proven, that is what is wanted to be shown as an example, not the vase and so on to be shown. Therefore, it should not be said that it is due to the meaning of non-establishment itself, but only appears like an example. "It should be said like this," if the language of stating the relationship itself is an example, then, whatever the speaker cannot show the relationship, that should only appear like an example. Therefore, it should only be said that the speaker who shows the reversed following (example) is appearing like an example. It should be taught: Whatever is permanent is not tangible.
