Etc. Because the thing that has just arisen is related to impermanence, it is able to show the negation of the latter by negating the former. Previously, other and contradictory things were said to be the dissimilar side. Therefore, it should also be fully shown that it has no reason either. From impermanence, permanence also becomes other and contradictory. Therefore, the Sutra school's dharma becomes an example of the dissimilar side without an example, because they do not admit that things are permanent. After doubting, they said: For things that are not permanent, it is not so. This means that in the three kinds of dissimilar sides, whichever is possible, it should be fully shown that it has no reason. For the other case, it is not so. Also, why is it not necessary to show the reversal? They said: Do not become, etc. Worldly people also usually show the dissimilar sides of what is to be proven and what proves it simultaneously, so that the made nature that is not bound by permanence is proven. If so, then etc. If this is the definition of an example, then it should be said that both are the antidote to contradiction and uncertainty, but do not say so. Why? They said: It will not change, etc. When it is temporarily necessary to show the pervasion of similar dharma, contradiction, commonality, and non-commonality themselves are impossible to be doubted. Through dissimilar dharma, when it is said that there is no reason for the thing that needs to be proven itself, then what fault is there in doubting non-commonality? If it does not change even for the similar kind, then, only for the thing that does not need to be proven, this sentence will not change here. This is called the statement of worldly people, it only fully shows that there is a reason on the similar side, because the pervasion of similar dharma is clearly expressed. Therefore, it is possible to doubt commonality. Through dissimilar dharma, it is also only necessary to show the existence of the dissimilar sides of what is to be proven and what proves it, therefore, doubting non-commonality. Not a definition, just like the definition of examples, expressing one by one.

Even if there is debate, the faults mentioned earlier will not occur. For example, "the property of the subject to be proven," etc., just as this depends on the other party's intention to speak, similarly, this also shows this point. If it is only the property of the same class, then it is uncertain in the reason itself, and there will be a fault, which means that uncertainty will become the reason itself. Refutation is because it depends on the equivalent thing that needs to be refuted, and because it has the nature of an undesirable result. The reason itself is also because it is undesirable, and it should be understood that it is different from the combination of equivalent things. Also, "what" refers to those unique reasons that pervade similar things and do not pervade similar things, and also ask questions because of doubt arising from focusing on their function. The particularity itself is not common. Not saying "each" or "both" means that each is not said. "A certain one," etc., is for the purpose of making the other party understand, and this is an inference for the benefit of others. If the other party can well understand the meaning to be understood through any example, then saying any example can also be established, because saying what has already been established is meaningless. The word "also" is the meaning that must be grasped. "Like arising from sound," etc., only at the level of understanding, by approaching the similar property, such as "like arising from sound" can be understood as an example, not without explicit explanation. Otherwise, if "arising from sound" is an inference for one's own understanding, then explicitly pointing this out is unreasonable, because there will be no fault. Because for the inference of one's own understanding, there will be no fault of examples, because it is the nature of meaning. If both meanings are emphasized at the same time, then the previous one is determined by relying on explicit explanation, just like the example of fire, through the inference of one's own understanding. In this way, by clearly focusing on the sound, recalling that it exists in other similar things, and does not exist in dissimilar things, only through these can one understand what is to be expressed. Therefore, by focusing only on the way of understanding, it is taken as an example. "Neither is said," here this is the intention, for the example to be...
