Oh! Just as "absence from that is non-existence" means combination, so too, "absence of what is to be proven is also non-existence" should be understood as meaning combination, and this should be understood and explained here as well. If so, how will the desired accomplishment be achieved? The answer is, "In dissimilar kinds," and so on. If "what is to be proven has concomitance," this indicates in what way it is considered dissimilar here. It means that if the reason that follows what is to be proven is dissimilar in kind, then in reality, because it cannot be established, there are many reasons. When it follows its own to-be-proven, if something is dissimilar to its own to-be-proven, even if it possesses other qualities, if it is used as an establisher, then whatever contradicts what is desired to be established, such as inclusion, is considered only as a contradictory reason. If it is used as an establisher, then whatever does not contradict what is desired to be established, and possesses other qualities, if it does not contradict, then whatever is included in possessing other qualities is considered only as a non-contradictory reason, this is the third chapter. Furthermore, how does something become dissimilar when there is no to-be-proven, and how does what is associated with contradiction become a consequence of what is to be proven? If the entity of a contradictory reason follows what is to be proven, then in the dissimilar kind, what the opponent wants to establish is not certain, this is the intention. This is the condensed meaning. If it is thought that whatever is associated with other qualities is uncertain, then nothing can become a reason, nor is it contradictory, everything will become uncertain, because everything is associated with other qualities. Therefore, whatever turns away from all dissimilar sides, even if it possesses other qualities, but is associated with the non-similar side, is the only cause of correct knowledge. Whatever turns away from all similar sides, even if it possesses other qualities, but is associated with the dissimilar side, is only contradictory. Whatever is associated with the similar side and is associated with the dissimilar side or doubts it, is uncertain. By this, it is eliminated.

Because it is absent from being separated from it, which means that it only states the absence of reason in the dissimilar aspect, but not in the similar aspect that possesses other attributes. In order to clarify the third way, such as the example of 'dissimilar attribute,' it also explains that the absence of reason is only when there is no object to be proven, but not in the similar aspect that possesses other attributes. The phrase 'only explained as contradictory,' for this, the dissimilar aspect is associated with other attributes such as knowability, therefore it is different from the dissimilar aspect. Moreover, since it turns from the dissimilar aspect to the other, the contradictory reason also becomes uncertain, which is to eliminate incorrect notions. If that is the case, then when stating uncertainty elsewhere, it should also only be regarded as this kind of uncertainty, which is what the teacher said. 'In any place,' etc., the common characteristic and contradiction will also become things to be proven. For each one that is not stated separately, an example should be given, therefore, 'two' will be explained here. Mentioning 'non-sentient' is to symbolize the reason. Because only conditioning on non-sentient beings, merely stating similar attributes will lead to uncertainty, which is not what should be done. Then what is it? It is all reasons. Likewise, in order to prove that it is eternal, because one wants to manifest uncertainty, and fallacy is characterized by causing unwanted things to befall. 'For non-eternal' also symbolizes the absence of what is to be proven, because for all that has no object to be proven, there is a reason, therefore one wants to manifest arguing uncertainty. 'Because it exists' also indicates doubt about the object and the subject. Therefore, it will be explained there that if only similar attributes are stated, it will happen even when there is no object to be proven, therefore the commonality of the reason will be doubted. This will be explained in this way, even if only similar attributes are stated, there is no object to be proven.
