It will become a groundless argument. So now, how can something of uncertain nature become a term? If it is because of the certainty of "this is it," and because of the intense engagement for the sake of obtaining and abandoning the causes of happiness and suffering, then, this fault does not exist, because even if it is just looking at the manifest object, it becomes a term through the power established by the experience of the manifest, preceded by the memory arising from desire and others. This is the nature of things: whatever is experienced very clearly, establishes the seed of memory, and from seeing such an experience of how it causes happiness or how it causes suffering, when this awakens, one will remember, "That is this." From that, whatever accords with desire and others. Also from that, how a person appropriately engages. Like this, "temporarily" and so on are the conclusion. Here, from the words "like this, temporarily born from the five senses," the word "temporarily" indicates that there are others that are not born from the five senses, and the differences in their characteristics will be explained separately, this has been clarified. All of those are also only non-conceptual, and it has been fully understood as only a reasonable path. Therefore, the arguments of some wise people will become doubts. To this, this is the argument: Then, aren't all these divisions of the manifest only non-conceptual? Therefore, it is also summarized only by "manifest is free from conceptuality," and like that, the characteristics of these reasonable things and so on are distinguished. Therefore, here, for what purpose should these different divisions of characteristics be stated separately? Therefore, in order to answer this question, it was said, "Here, the difference lies in depending on the intention of others." Difference, distinction, and division are synonyms. And, because it is the occasion itself, it should be understood as the characteristic of the manifest. Here refers to detailed explanation. Whatever difference in characteristics is reversed, that is dependent on the characteristic of the reversed understanding that others intend. To that, regarding the aspect of mind

Some mistakenly believe that in perception, sense consciousness only grasps the object experienced by sense consciousness. Self-awareness of desire, etc., does not exist. This is also the case for the wisdom of yogis. Because of this, in order to counter the mistaken understanding of others, it is said, "Perception is free from conceptualization." This statement summarizes, but it is wrongly explaining the characteristic distinction of perception that is not born from the five senses, intending to dispel the mistaken understanding of others. If others ask, from where is this distinction made, are there also consciousnesses born from the five senses that have conceptualization? The answer is, it also depends on the views of others, etc. Others believe that some consciousnesses born from the senses are with conceptualization, i.e., those who are proficient in terminology; some consciousnesses are without conceptualization, i.e., the other party. Therefore, in order to counter this view, it is said, "Free from conceptualization." Here is the characteristic distinction of sense consciousness, to distinguish that sense consciousness, as recognized by other schools, is with conceptualization, so it is explained in this way. According to their view, if it is said that this characteristic distinction depends on the views of others, then in that case, this characteristic distinction that depends on the views of others would be meaningless, it would only become not explaining the characteristics of one's own school, and in that case, what would the characteristics of perception become? This debate would also become unfair. The word "is" in "everything is non-conceptual" clarifies the error of explaining the characteristic distinction, this is not dependent on one's own school, because there is no mistaken understanding, this clarifies the meaning. The characteristic distinction of "perception is free from conceptualization" summarizes everything that needs to be expressed. "Mind, also," etc., the word "also" is the meaning of summarizing. The word "object" is a synonym for knowable things. The self-nature of desire, etc., is: desire, etc., self-nature. The word "self" is used to express oneself. Object and desire, etc., self-nature. Knowing it is the self-awareness of object and desire, etc., here "knowing" refers to being known, being understood. Knowing is, etc.
