Then what is it for? If it is not said for the sake of that time, then it is said for the sake of what is done. The other party also wants to clarify only the understanding of the thought and asks: How can we understand that sound is impermanent? What is the reason for this? If so, how could it not be a seemingly reasonable reason? The answer is: In the position of reason, etc. The position of reason is the basis of the argument, because as an excellent combination of that reason, it possesses one aspect of the characteristic of reason. Whatever appears like a reason is a seemingly reasonable reason, because it does not exist here. Where is the seemingly reasonable reason? Whenever seeds, etc. are certain, they arise from their author, and how does the cognizer understand it like that? When one understands one's own meaning, one does not depend on time. The sectarian answers: Combining something that only shows one aspect of meaning with being detached from time. Showing detachment from time, for example, sound is constant, because it manifests with the possessor, like form. The state of manifestation before and after is constant. This is not a reason, because it shows detachment from time. Because the color, etc. to be manifested, the manifester and the light possessor, only the possessor can hold, but not in the past. If that is also the manifestable that possesses sound, then that color manifester can only be understood when it is close, but not in the past, that is, when the manifester is in the past. When wood and axe are possessed, those who have been around for a long time distinguish sounds and observe closely in time, and from that it also appears that the time of detachment from possession, therefore it is not the cause of possession. Therefore, it is a seemingly reasonable reason, because That is the same as what is to be established, not different. Because it prevents possession from being the cause of sound manifestation. Therefore, this is only unestablished. The Vaibhashikas, etc., for that extremely unestablished, is because the relationship between the sign and the signed is extremely unestablished. For example, fire and

Even if there is a relationship with a cow, if it does not possess the characteristic of a cause that produces a result, then the cow is not pointed out, which means it is not an argument. Non-existence is because there is no relationship such as possession, so it is not existence, for example, having horns, therefore it is a horse. If the horse and horns are proven not to be other, then saying "it is considered to have horns," then what should be known here? If it is said, "It has horns, therefore it is a horse," then what is said is saying non-existence, because there is no relationship whatsoever between the horse and horns. Doubt is when it is uncertain whether it exists or not, for example, saying "recognizing having horns," then what should be known here? If it is said, "It has horns, therefore it is a cow," then this is saying what is to be said with doubt. Why? Because buffaloes and others also have horns. Temporarily not fully established, etc., if the relationship between the sign and the thing with the sign is not fully established, then there may be two faults that rely on the example, the example is non-existence or the meaning of not fully established, or because of the meaning of the argument. Therefore it is said, "or" the word has the meaning of distinguishing. Among them, when the example's dharma, only its own self-nature is not fully established, therefore when the relationship is not understood, the example is non-existent, because the dharma is not established. If the dharma is established, but because the sign has not been seen before, so when the relationship is not fully established, it is the meaning of the argument that is not fully established, which means that the argument is incomplete. Why does it appear like an example again, and not appear like an argument? Saying "If it is like that," etc., in these ways, because the example will become not fully established, therefore this is the fault of the example, not a seemingly valid argument. If it is said again, the dharma to be proven, or exists, or like what is seen by the eyes, is expressed by the word of not fully established, not said to the example. If that is the case, the meaning of the argument will be contradictory. What causes the meaning of the argument to be contradictory again?
