It is said only to establish (the view), because there is no dispute about this. If it is said that it would fall into having no similar things, this is also (a reason). Saying the difference is to explain that there is no following. It should be explained that if there is nothing to be established (view), there is no reason. This shows this point. The so-called "beyond the complete remainder" means that what remains from all things is the complete remainder. What are all the things mentioned here? It refers to the opponent's point of view. There are also many ways, that is, the extreme of all things, the difference between the single-natured Purusha and Ishvara, etc. By preventing all of this, there will be a complete remainder, because this (world) is neither produced from nothing, nor from Ishvara, etc., but from the complete remainder, only from the Pradhana. Otherwise, if it is said that it is not produced from nothing, then it will also become only produced from the complete remainder of Ishvara, etc. From the word "and" in "not the five elements", it can be clearly seen that this complete remainder is unreasonable. Why? Because it is said "not the five elements". "This is not" etc., means that this is not produced from nothing, but produced from the Pradhana of the complete remainder, this manifestation arises, which is not related to the definition of the complete remainder, because the complete remainder is what remains from everything, and only the Pradhana is not the complete remainder, because other aspects are not separately prevented, so it should also be considered as the complete remainder. When all other aspects are prevented from becoming the cause, then only the Pradhana will become the complete remainder. Therefore, what comes from being excluded from the complete remainder is unique, not the five elements. Although it will be like this, it is not considered the complete remainder by preventing all opponents, then what is it? It is by preventing each of the other aspects. Therefore, what comes from being excluded is unique, not the five elements, but only the five elements, because each thinks that this is the complete remainder. If so, then here it will fall into having no difference, etc., five ways, if you say that you must clearly point out these five ways, then (the answer is): By preventing one opponent, etc., even so, what comes from being excluded is not the five elements.

It would be excessive, because they are methods of obstructing refutations that surpass the gods. Or, if one refutation is obstructed, and one completely desires the remaining methods, then the five that come by exclusion are not, because one must obstruct endless refutations. The word "endless" here approximately indicates more than five. One should contemplate fallacious reasons, because by reversing from that, it is for the sake of understanding the meaning of a clear reason. If asked what is the difference of the unestablished that is not stated, it is said: That is the difference of any unestablished, etc., etc. Then, if from things similar to what is apprehended by the eye, it is not explained that those things do not have the property of being present in the similar class, is it not? It is said: If the definition is not stated, one can understand that kind of situation. Then, is it not possible to understand the definitions of these merely by indicating names that correspond to the meaning? It is said: Because one cannot fully understand the difference, it is not, one cannot understand in "unestablished," what is unestablished. Then, has the teacher not explained the difference of unestablished either? Because it is not said that it is unestablished in one aspect of the subject, and unestablished in one aspect of the meaning of the proposition. This fault is not present, because from stating the definition, one universally understands all examples. Then, here also, from understanding the definition of reason, because it is easy to understand by reversing from the definition of reason, even if the definition is not stated, will one understand the self-nature of all fallacious reasons? This is not the case, if it is not like that, because one has not excluded the unestablished from the definition of reason, which is "the reason that shows the dharma that does not not occur." It has also been said: What is apprehended by the eye, etc., sound
