These are the dharmas arising from the earth. The other such special ones should be understood as the pervaders of water, fire, wind, and space. These should be understood. Therefore, this explains the non-establishment of obtaining the same result and extreme desire, etc. If it is said from this inference, then, this refers to the description of the characteristics of things with the same result, that is, only through one category, which is the nature of pleasure, pain, and ignorance. The nature of variety is contradictory, which means it is harmful to infinite categories. Infinite categories Following is the nature of variety, however, it is not possible to follow only through one category. If it is not definitely held, then it is only through one category. Apart from following, there is no other form that has the nature of variety. Therefore, if it is not definitely held that it is only a variety of forms, then the form of following from the nature of variety will not become other. In either case, etc., the inversions between each other will become different. Even if it is not definitely held, inversion is not possible. Therefore, through the understanding of meaning or hearing, from obtaining both, it will only become one that has the form of common and special. The common is following, and the special is the nature of variety, which means that those respective forms will not be established. Because it is only what has not appeared before, this means that only in the dissimilar side is seen one category following. Here it transforms, although one category is seen following in the fragments, etc., of a single cause such as wood, then, if asked from what aspect it is contradictory, then the answer is that for wood, etc., it is non-existent to establish one, and the fragments, etc., are not those that have not appeared before. Why? Because wood, etc., are the objects of obtaining. Because the fragments, etc., are the obtainers of wood, etc., therefore holding wood, etc., therefore wood, etc., are the reason for approaching.

For example, just as approaching dhava and other trees to attach to the forest. Therefore, trees and the like are not unique, and blocks of wood and the like are not its predecessors either. The forest is not unique, nor can it be proven that dhava and others are its predecessors. Well, this is not right, because there is no obstacle to saying that due to the following of the same kind, multiple antecedents should arise. If it is said that this contradicts them, then it should be stated how it is contradictory: if the lord is not multiple, and it is not just obvious differences, then great differences and the like between each other will approximately produce differences, and differences between each other cannot exist in the unique lord either. Because it has been admitted that the fruit and the cause are unique, even if there is no difference, how can the same kind follow? Therefore, wanting the same kind to follow, one must admit its multiple causes, which will lead to contradiction. Having admitted it, if the blocks of wood and the like have the characteristics of uniqueness, and the trees and the like are its predecessors, then this argument is also uncertain. Because blocks of wood, skulls, utensils, and decorations follow the kinds of happiness and the like, they are the predecessors of multiple kinds of causes such as trees, bottles, clods of earth, and gold. Previously it has been said that because trees and the like do not have uniqueness individually, it is contradictory. Now, having admitted it, it is said to be uncertain because of the diversity of all uniqueness, which is the difference. The example is worse than what is to be proven, meaning that if it is admitted that all characteristics are caused by a unique lord, then it is unreasonable for blocks of wood and the like to be the predecessors of trees and the like. So, the characteristics are the predecessors of a single cause, which is to prove the cause of the same entity as the independent lord and the like, so in what way is there no example? Think like this, if you don't pursue the characteristics, then what has already been established will only become what is to be proven, not trees and the like.
