“Unchanging” refers to the permanent entity, and only “changing” should be obviously associated with the negative word. The previous statement “dependent on reversal,” such as “sound is impermanent because it is produced,” here refers to being dependent on reversal, meaning dependent on certainty. Because “produced” ascertains that sound is destructible, thereby negating permanence, it establishes impermanence for the opponent. Then, when is it said? If there is a non-being to be negated, then it will become the negation of non-being. When the permanent entity itself is not acknowledged, how can negation be performed? “At that time, because it is thoroughly examined by others,” because others examine permanence, such as space, etc., therefore, by negating it, it is established that sound is impermanent. Just as space, etc., are thoroughly examined by others, so too, this sound does not change, that is its meaning. “At that time, just as it exists,” just as it exists at the time of close observation, the opponent should understand that it is the same before and after that. Therefore, for the thought that completely understands it as being very existent, by negating non-fiction, the characteristic of non-very existent, that is, impermanence, is established, and thus there is no fault. The previous statement “the previous remaining three depend on,” wherein “produced” and “arising immediately after effort” are also said to be the cause of negating knowledge, etc. The remaining parts that depend on both are only said to be the cause of doubt in the wheel of reasoning, and the others are from undetermined words. Therefore, for it, how can there be three forms? Even if only one form is indicated, the remaining parts should also be understood, this is said because of thinking, such as “if all” etc. “This also” indicates that this is the same as the previous ones. The statement “dependent on what,” only depending on what is involved, space and karma etc., is the cause of doubt, distinguishing from that which is other, that is, distinguishing from form objects such as pots and atoms, because it is contrary to that.

If one wants to understand how not to do (negation), it is like "it is so," etc. Even when it applies to both, such as "even," it refers to the case when it applies to both permanence and impermanence. Therefore, this (referring to a certain attribute) must establish other dharmas from the forms, that is, it must establish dharmas such as inaction, so that it can become a distinguishing reason. For example, it can be established that sound is inactive or active. Among them, for inaction, it is a correct reason, and for action, it is the cause of false cognition, because it contradicts all active things. When establishing permanence and impermanence, it is not a distinguishing reason. Why? Because it does not contradict everything. It does not contradict all things on the side of impermanence or the side of permanence, just as permanence and impermanence are established in order. The so-called "showing the dharma that is similar to it and does not arise without it is the reason" refers to the meaning to be established, such as sound is impermanent, etc., similar to this, if there is no similar kind of it, then nothing will arise, such as effort is born is impermanent, smoke is fire. This is the nature of having the dharma of "not arising without it," and showing it is the meaning of the phrase "to be shown by this." For example, "because it is newly produced," etc., these are all reasons. Whatever does not show is not a reason. For example, "sound is impermanent, because it is visible to the eye," etc. Here, it is because it has the result that language can determine. Now, let's analyze only "determination." There may be three kinds of determination here: only "without it, it does not arise," only "without non-it, it does not arise," and only "only with it, it does not arise." All of these have faults. Therefore, temporarily speaking according to the first kind of determination, that is, "if it is not so, then it does not exist," etc. Here, it is to distinguish contradiction and common uncertainty. For example, "because it can be heard, sound is permanent," this is also considered a reason.
