Like life and so on. Therefore, in order to dispel confusion about this, it is said: If opposition is established merely by not seeing, then audibility itself will be opposed to all that is permanent and impermanent, and it will only become a non-thing dharma. This is also unreasonable. Therefore, like life and so on, opposition is not established merely by not seeing, so it should not be considered that the opponent itself can be understood. That is to say, from aspects such as concomitance and opposition, because opposition can be distinguished from permanence, and concomitance should be argued on impermanence, these are also without one branch. How can it be said that it is without one branch? Whatever exists only in the similar side is concomitance, but that is not without opposition. Whatever does not exist only in the dissimilar side is opposition, but that is not without concomitance. This is one's own view. The other party thinks that merely existing is concomitance, and merely not seeing is also opposition. The other party's view is that these two exist in measurability and audibility, so it is without one branch. In this way, if any reasoning uses opposition to cut off one side and uses concomitance to argue for the other side, then only concomitance is unique, it can argue for everything, and it only becomes the cause of the knowledge of concomitance, because it is permanence on its own basis, and this is also impermanence. Anything that is only opposition and has no concomitance, it can cut off from everything, and it only becomes the reason for the knowledge of opposition, because it is neither permanence nor impermanence. For example, relying on both, that is, relying on the made nature of concomitance and opposition, etc., the made nature is opposed from permanence, so on its own basis it is the reason for the knowledge of cutting off permanence, and it also applies to impermanent vases, etc., so it is also the cause of the knowledge of impermanence. It is also not present in everything. And so on, the word "also" is taken for certainty. Permanent and impermanent.
