It should be indicated as such. If such completeness is possessed, the subject of the proposition will be understood. Thus it is said. Therefore, the statements are not contradictory, nor are they proving something untimely, because this is entirely devoted to explaining the method of accomplishing what is timely. Here, sound is impermanent, because it is created, whatever is created is impermanent, and the permanent is uncreated, because immediately after the proposition, a conclusion with five aspects is obtained, even without co-presence in similar instances, this is a reason. Some people pervertedly say that based on this alone, the reason is only co-presence in similar instances, which is unreasonable. Therefore, in order to eliminate their perversion, it was said, "also of co-presence in similar instances," and so on. The first half of the verse, "Wherever the sign follows the probandum," etc., explains the characteristics of the two examples. The words "wherever" and "there" clearly indicate the connection. The third line makes it known that this conclusion of five aspects should be understood as merely the connection of the example, not the reason. The fourth line explains how the reason is obtained there. If it is said that this does not have co-presence in similar instances, then the opponent will think that the reason will become without co-presence in similar instances, so it is said that the characteristic of the example is also possible, and the word "also" is a meaning that must be grasped. If it is not that the absence of arising of the reason is explained by the example, is it not? Here, the reason is not heard either, so how can this be the connection of the example? Therefore, it is said that one wants to approach the connection of the reason. If this is a reason without co-presence in similar instances, then manifestation is not non-arising, because it would fall into the fault of otherness. If it is said that falling into otherness is because it is not the dharma of manifestation, then it is said that without a cause, it is the fault of otherness. Without a cause, that is, without following, it is other, and it will fall into it. "Wherever" refers to the treatise. Because that is established from two examples. Regarding "Wherever what is seen is finite, is the determiner," therefore, one wants to express following and reversal with the sound of the example, following.

The reason for establishing what needs to be established through both positive and negative aspects is the concluding statement. Among these, the intention is that what comes by eliminating from the possessing aspect is not a separate entity. What is meant by 'coming by eliminating' is establishing one's own side by blocking the other's side, which is what 'coming by eliminating' means. The word 'eliminating' and so on indicates the conjunction. Among these, it is understood and completely eliminates others by stating that from the two examples, in order to establish what needs to be established, it becomes a fallacy of having no reason. The other aspect is that the otherness of those without a prior existence also becomes visible, meaning that what lacks a prior existence is perceived as otherness. Alternatively, establishing the opposite from not seeing the following of only those things, meaning that the following of what lacks a prior existence is not seen, therefore, the opposite, otherness, becomes a fallacy. In both cases, it is not reasonable, because some otherness of what lacks a prior existence is not seen, because they do not exist. If it is admitted that the otherness of what lacks a prior existence does not see the following, then it is also unreasonable to make the fallacy of otherness by the opposite of following. Why? It is said, because it becomes an undesirable fallacy. If it is assumed to refute from not seeing, then otherness is also not seen in these things, therefore, the opposite conclusion is also obtained, which is undesirable. If it is unreasonable for that to become a fallacy of otherness, then what is that reason? It is said, what then? etc., which establishes one's own view. Because following can be seen in things with one prior existence, such as a pot, etc., this shows the following. It is also not seen in what does not exist, because even with the same cause, various prior existences or those without prior existences are not seen in what does not exist. This is also the opposite. Therefore, what is meant by 'having one prior existence' is because in that way, similar following is pervaded by having one prior existence, therefore, it is clear that it has one prior existence. If this is not admitted, then
