Q: Then, will it become a refutation? A: Because it is not desired, not everything is refuted. The meaning of this (sentence) is: Just as it is established on both, then what is to be established will necessarily be established, and there is no other way; similarly, only being established on both will necessarily determine it as defective, and other than that, merely not desiring it is not the case. Q: Then, because it says "to refute with this," isn't it a refutation, that is, not a word that protects the statement? If so, how can it be said to "refute the meaning"? A: Is it from the approximation of establishing non-difference between the object and the subject? Because the sound of refutation is the sound of establishment, so it is said, there is no fault. Q: Again, what is not a refutation? A: A: Such as "for example," etc. Q: Then, what kind of thing is established, and what kind of thing is refuted? A: A: It is well established on both. The meaning of (this sentence) etc. is: Whatever is not a property of the subject on both, that is only a refutation, such as what can be seen by the eye. What is established is what is well established as a property of the subject on both, such as being different due to the difference of causes, such as being made, etc., when it is to be established. Q: Then, if the cause is the reason, then sound has no reason, because the opponent acknowledges that it is a permanent phenomenon. Then, from what aspect is it different due to the difference of causes? A: Then, how can it only focus on the movement of the palate, etc.? If the palate, etc., are not its cause, but the palate, etc., make it appear, then how can it only focus on its function? A: No, because permanent phenomena cannot appear, as said before. The action of the palate, etc., is to remove obscurations. Q: Therefore, it immediately focuses on it, how can it be said? A: No, because its nature is not diminished, so there cannot be any obscuration. Q: In order to generate knowledge in its own object, the movement of the palate, etc., works together, how can it be said? A: No, because things that are not beneficial cannot work together.

English

Therefore, whatever seeds and so on do together without relying on mutual assistance, that does not create a difference, so what is it? It is only to produce one result. This is not something that could happen on a star either. If it is ability, then it can be done alone. If it is not able, then even together it cannot be done, so there is no doubt about this. If it only does some helping, then what is that? Is it something other than that, or is it the same? If it is something else, what is the relationship of the help of sound? If it is not something else, then it is doing that, so the difference is established by the difference of conditions. So, if only the dharma of the locus is the reason, then the subject will not be inferred by the subject and the dharma, or by the subject, or by the dharma with the subject, so it is a non-pervasive definition. If it is said: When the dharma of the locus is established. It means that if it is promised here that only the dharma of the locus is the reason. The subject is not established by the subject. The dharma is not to be established by the subject. Therefore, the dharma is also not to be established by the subject. For the time being, think about those things that are said in this way. If the purpose of the assembly is to be accomplished, then the dharma of one aspect of it is the dharma of the locus, so the dharma of the locus can become the reason. When the subject is only fire to be established, and the assembly is not, then it is also on other subjects, then how can the dharma of the locus become the reason? It should be said "on this." For the fact that it is not to establish the existence of fire, there is another reason. Does this word "on" have an obvious relationship with smoke? Or is it related to the place or fire? If it is related to smoke, then it is only one aspect of the meaning of the vow, as before. Even so, should it be determined to say "only fire is on this"? Saying "on the fire" and so on. And the word "also" is for the purpose of collecting the fault that "fire itself is not the basis." Again, why?
