It is on that own subject of dharma! Whatever the proponent considers to be the very thing to be proven is one's own dharma, and possessing that is called "own subject of dharma," which is its definition. Otherwise, for the sake of dispelling whose doubt, this will become endowed with fruit, when another subject of dharma endowed with an inopportune dharma is harmed by possessing the inopportune dharma itself, what harm is there to the opportune thing to be proven? Therefore, if harming a subject of dharma endowed with an opportune dharma is a fault, it is said "own subject of dharma" for the purpose of understanding that possessing an inopportune dharma is a wrong path. If this is not done for this meaning, it is because this meaning is obtained by the mere word "own." Thus, if it is what the debater himself wants to prove, that is the thing to be proven; therefore, contrary to that, it only harms the means of proof, is this meaning established? The answer is: Yes, even if the meaning is established in this way, but here, what is the reason for saying the words "own subject of dharma" again? It is not only that directly harming the thing to be proven becomes a fault, but also, what would happen if it harms the subject of dharma as well? It is for the sake of perfectly establishing this meaning. Otherwise, even if the subject of dharma is harmed, if the words "own subject of dharma" are not necessary for the purpose of establishing harm to its dharma, then, at that time, the dharma that the debater himself accepts as the nature of the thing to be proven is the thing to be proven, because it is said that, the harm that comes through that door is thought of by those who understand, but not the one that comes through the door of the subject of dharma. Therefore, the words "own subject of dharma" are said. But isn't this also established only in meaning? Thus, because harming the dharma is a defect to that extent, and that also happens when the thing to be proven is directly harmed, or it can also be through harming the subject of dharma, in both cases, the dharma is harmed. Therefore, what comes through harming the subject of dharma also only obtains harming the dharma in meaning, so for that meaning, isn't it not necessary to say "own subject of dharma"? The answer is: This is true, wherever harming the subject of dharma,

There is no harm to the dharma to be established. In some place, if the subject of dharma is refuted, but there is no harm to the dharma to be established, even if only the subject of dharma is refuted, some opponents consider it to have the fault of sectarianism and the fault of contradicting the reason. For example, space and so on do not exist as a single nature, because they do not produce results simultaneously. So, are space and so on, which have become real objects, the subject of dharma? Or are they not the subject of dharma? Without admitting what one wants to say, saying that space does not exist, generally, with respect to the aspects made towards space and so on, the dharma is also only the elimination to be established, the nature of elimination is the reason, and the refuter also establishes that the subject of dharma, such as space and so on, which have become real objects, does not exist, just like this. In this way, even if the subject of dharma that has become a real object is eliminated, for the dharma that one wishes to establish, which is only elimination, it will not cause harm, or the reason for the nature of elimination is not established, these situations do not exist. Even so, like this, even if only the subject of dharma is harmed, some people think that this is harm, but this should not be thought of, even if the subject of dharma that has become a real object is eliminated, only the dharma to be established by elimination and the reason are established. Therefore, in what place, because harm is caused to the subject of dharma, the dharma to be established is refuted, that is a fault, and in what place, even if the subject of dharma is refuted, there is no harm to the dharma to be established, that is not a fault. Why? Because the subject of dharma that is specifically designated by the dharma that one wants to establish is only what is to be established, not the only one. Therefore, even if the only one is prevented, how can it cause harm? Therefore, for the dharma to be established, which is only elimination, even if one thinks of the subject of dharma that has become a real object, it is not the nature of having a fault. This is shown by oneself stating the subject of dharma. So, is this not established only by oneself stating it? Because one wants to establish the subject of dharma that has become a real object? It is not like that, because one wants to state what has become a real object and what has not become a real object.
