So, how are these statements expressed, such as "individual things are not at all the opposite of the principal"? This is said only according to the other party's thought: If the other party promises not to be other, then, for the benefit of the principal and the person, if the ten meanings with crests or spikes are accomplished, then in all aspects they will belong. This is according to one's own thought, because only existing things are suitable as causes. Moreover, only those differences, that is, the principal exists. Such as "existence itself or multitude itself," etc., explains the meaning of all kinds of words. Or, starting from the word "or" with a collective meaning, it is "oneness itself," etc. Different or not different is fine, that is, existence itself or one and "dam." Non-author itself, etc., and "ngo." Or, one and "ste" separate and "ngam," five and "yang na." Or, if existence itself, etc., are different from the person, or, if they are not different, then, because it is not enlightenment in all aspects, the promise is lost. Whatever is not a cause cannot be realized by inference with remainder, just like complete non-existence. The person is also like this, because there is no pervasion. Whenever the form of sound is completely transformed, when it is definitely manifested in the activity of the senses, when the activity of the mind closely arises, the person also closely arises in its form. Therefore, if it is thought that the person is the one with the completely transformed form of activity, then it will be said that the reason is not established. Those persons will become the nature of the principal. Thus, the activity of the mind is the nature of the three गुण (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན།, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुण, Sanskrit Romanization: guṇa, Chinese literal meaning: गुण), and the activity of the person is also its form. Therefore, it will also become the nature of the three गुण (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན།, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुण, Sanskrit Romanization: guṇa, Chinese literal meaning: गुण). Even so, because the activity and the one with activity are not other, the person will also obtain the nature of the three गुण (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན།, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुण, Sanskrit Romanization: guṇa, Chinese literal meaning: गुण), and because it is the nature of गुण (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན།, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुण, Sanskrit Romanization: guṇa, Chinese literal meaning: गुण), it will also become the principal itself. There is also the fault of debate about this, because the promise that "the principal is also oneness itself" has been lost, so this is meaningless. Inference, etc.

Etc. The term "etc." should include what arises from sound, what is close to measurement, and what is understood through meaning. Because it is preceded by direct perception. The phrase "only similar to it" means that just as direct perception is not a reason in terms of Dharma, so too are subsequent inferences, etc. Why? Because it is preceded by direct perception. That is why these are not summarized. Why should the valid cognitions such as direct perception be thoroughly examined? It is to know that the characteristic of debate is Dharma, but the characteristic of direct perception etc. is not. When it is known that direct perception is also not a reason in terms of Dharma, then it is known that whatever else is preceded by direct perception will not become a reason for fully understanding Dharma. Just knowing that is enough, what is the use of summarizing it? How then should the six valid cognitions be understood through analysis? It is said, "By explaining," etc. Therein, refutation is stated by "that," etc. So, in the sutra, direct perception itself is taken as the reason for not summarizing, and is taken as the reason itself. The explanation is for fully understanding the valid cognition. If anything preceded by direct perception is understood as a valid cognition, then it is explicitly stated. Therefore, how does the explanation follow the meaning of the sutra? In the sutra, direct perception itself is taken as the reason through the lineage of not summarizing, but not directly. To show that indirectness, the explanation of "whatever is preceded by direct perception," etc., is done, so there is no fault. If only fully understanding the valid cognition is to be expressed as the uninterrupted reason for not summarizing, then the reason for fully understanding the valid cognition will not be expressed. Moreover, memory, desire, hatred, etc., and effort, etc., will become fallacies of valid cognition. Then, this refutation will become meaningless. Therefore, in order to give the occasion for refutation, it is said, "Because it is preceded by direct perception." So, in analysis, it is not possible to express its nature as a valid cognition solely through direct perception itself.
