Whatever exists, such as the reason for having function from seeds, etc., is asserted because it is determined to be the nature of having power. Since that nature of having power also exists everywhere, it would follow that it produces results everywhere. It is not that causes and conditions are incomplete, because they also always exist. If that is the case, then in the states of past and future, since it performs the actions of producing, such as generating from birth, etc., it would follow that there are countless times in one moment. Furthermore, if the past and future are momentary, then "non-momentary" is a twofold possibility. Among them, if it is the former, then it is the term "momentary." At that time, the transformation into countless times is already present. What is indicated by "what is momentary" is that itself. If it is the possibility of "non-momentary," then it contradicts the established tenet, because the established tenet refers to the definite limit. As it is said, "all compounded phenomena are momentary" is the established tenet. Not only does it contradict the established tenet, but it also contradicts the subsequent inference of the proposition, like this: whatever exists is all momentary, like the present. Since it is determined that the past and future also exist, the momentariness will be destroyed. The connection of this reasoning is not uncertain, because the investigation of the destruction of momentariness has already been established. Like this, the characteristic of existence is to perform a function, but the non-momentary is contradictory because it performs functions successively and simultaneously. If the performance of a function ceases, then the existence of its characteristic also ceases, so the opposite side of what is to be established pervades existence. Furthermore, is this past and future able to perform a function or not able to perform a function? These are two possibilities. If it is able to, then at that time, if there is ability, then it should become the present, like the present that is not the basis of dispute. The formulation is: whatever is able to perform a function is the present, like the present that is not the basis of dispute. The past, etc., is also able to perform a function,

This is also a fallacy of the nature of reason. This is also not uncertain, because if the present does not exist, then the destroyed and the unborn will lose all their functions, like a lotus in the sky. The proposition is: those that are not happening now will not be able to function at any time, like a lotus in the sky. To say that the past and so on are also not present is because the pervader is not seen. This is also not an uncertainty caused by the unconditioned space and the individual cessation and the non-individual cessation, because those have also become the subject. Therefore, those are not reasons to be regarded as uncertain. Like this, whatever is the ability of things to perform their respective determined functions, it should be admitted that it comes from blessings. If it is not so, if there is no cause, then because there is no determined cause, the abilities of things will not be determined separately. If that is the case, everything will be closely connected to all results. Therefore, the abilities of uncreated things such as space are certainly unreasonable, so those are not reasons to be regarded as uncertain. There is also no need to doubt the reversal of the first reason on the dissimilar side, because, for the ability to determine the meaning, its arising is produced by causes and conditions, and that is the nature of the present. This present nature is not incomplete, because the past and so on also have it, there is no other reason, why would it not become a fallacy of the present? Furthermore, according to whose view the past and the future exist as entities, according to that view, the result will also always exist, therefore, striving to obtain heaven and liberation will become meaningless, because there is no result for this goal to be achieved. For this, what unmoving nature of asceticism and determination and so on will have an effect? If it is said that there is no effect on birth, then it is established that it arises from what has not arisen. If that also exists, then what is it that has an effect on what and where? It has an effect on doing now.
