If saying "how does one who wants not to eat exist" refers to the distinct object itself, then even so, it is unreasonable for one thing to have multiple natures, because one thing is distinct. Furthermore, those that possess contradictory qualities are distinct, like cold and heat. Universals and particulars also possess contradictory qualities, because they are of the nature of concomitance and different aspects, so it is clear that they are distinct. If one does not want to consider different aspects and concomitance as distinct even though they possess contradictory qualities, then, just as there is no difference between blue and yellow, it is impossible to consider them distinct by the nature of difference, because consciousness is distinct, and form, etc., will not become one. Because it is said, "Because consciousness is distinct, form, etc., will not become one." Because Kumara Mountain speaks of blue, etc., as distinct. For example, etc., the lamb of Kumara Mountain also shows itself as uncertain, the five colors are various colors. How is it blue? Or yellow? Or red, etc., how does it grasp the desired form? Just as form is definite, various things of multiple natures, by their own and others' natures, or by the natures of universals and particulars, are definitely distinct according to whether one wants them to be of the nature of existence and non-existence. When one wants to definitely grasp the distinct, one definitely grasps it, and when one wants the non-distinct, that is, to definitely grasp the universal, one definitely grasps it. When the nature of universal and particular, one thing, is recognized in an instant, the disputes of other and non-other distinctness, etc., will disappear, meaning that one will not definitely grasp, because the variegated thing is directly recognized by perception. From then on, the dispute of other and non-other, etc., is this, because it is not other than the distinct. The universal, like a ball, will become distinct in its own nature, or because it is not distinct from the universal, distinct things will become non-distinct like the universal. Similarly, how do the universal and particular of distinct and non-distinct contradict each other?

And the word "etc." of etc., and things that contradict one and another, and likewise, the generality of suchness. Things like "that particular characteristic" should also be understood as such. If so, then all the variegated will be understood, but if there is doubt that it is not sequential and simultaneous, then introduce "many natures" etc. to explain that whether it is sequential or non-sequential, whatever establishes the nature of the general and particular etc. here is according to the speaker's intention. When one wants to simultaneously speak of the nature of the general and particular, or the nature of existence and non-existence, then one establishes it as the nature of this. If one wants to sequentially speak of the nature of existence and non-existence, or the general and particular, then at that time one establishes this as the nature of that. All the natures of that are shown by intention through sequential and non-sequential means, just like in a treasury of various jewels, there are coral and red lotuses etc. Furthermore, why can't it be shown in other ways besides sequential and non-sequential means? Because "categories have no other ways." Having said this, one should refer to "entering from sequential and simultaneous" etc. Category is the way. Answer with "it is not so" etc., because "one and many are contradictory," which has already been explained with "many are not one" etc. Because the word "many" expresses multitude, and one and many are contradictory because they have the characteristic of existing by mutually excluding each other. Therefore, it is not possible for one thing to have many true aspects. If it exists, then it also simultaneously shows one and many. Like this, because so many other things have arisen, it is only showing the truth, but not one and many, because they are contradictory. Or, "from things by removing, excluding non-existence, another opportunity." Having said this etc., said "from one thing" etc. If one wants to establish that there is no difference from a sky flower, and only uses the removal from things as a reason, then at that time the reason is not established.
