It is said, "Self-nature fully knows," etc. That which is called "that also" is self-knowing. That which is called "those" refers to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. That which is called "first" etc., refers to "even the collection of merits," etc. However, there, I say that what is known by oneself is the self-nature of self-awareness. Is it not the knowledge of the inner agent, the person? If it is established in this way, how is it established? If it is established, then it is said, "That knowledge is this," etc. If the mind is only how to establish as knowledge? "The knowable and the knowing aspects are all without." This is the direct experience of all aspects as they are. Afterwards, the pure worldly wisdom that is obtained, in the ultimate truth, is without an object. Through the non-deceptive conceptual thoughts that are related to things, the yogis rely on the stream of past and future things that have become cause and effect to establish past and future things. It has been said. As it is said: Whatever has arisen now, the essence directly or indirectly, becomes the cause and effect itself, that is known by the yogi. The self-nature associated with conceptual thoughts, with pure worldly wisdom, although there is no object in that place, later it can also be known accordingly. Therefore, the cause and effect, what has arisen and will arise, relying on the continuum, the past and the future constantly arise. As it is said. To this, the Sutra school does not admit, because they admit that all the Bhagavat are directly seen. Therefore, in order to show the sect admitted by the Sutra school, it is also said, "Or the power of yoga," etc. For example, seeing the truth in a dream, although it is without an object in the ultimate truth, it is a birth that does not need to rely on reasoning and scriptures, that is, it arises due to the difference of the basis of direct perception, so it will not deceive. Similarly, for the yogis, through the power of yoga, how the past and future things that have arisen and will arise appear clearly as they are, it is a birth that does not need to rely on reasoning and scriptures, that is, direct perception is considered a valid cognition.

Thus contemplating: If it is considered that direct perception is that which possesses the object of its own nature, but if the past and future do not possess their own nature, then how can they be the object of it, the reason for possessing its own nature? When contemplating thus, then quoting "Because of the self-nature luminous awareness," etc. Suppose, even if things like the past do not possess their own nature, but because they are the nature of self-awareness, it is not contradictory to show in the treatises as having the object of their own nature. That is also free from conceptualization by the very fact that it appears clearly, and because it is not confused about such things, it is not confused, therefore, because it possesses the characteristics of direct perception, it is established as direct perception. Who cannot bear this? etc. Then quoting "From the previously stated recollection," etc. From the previously stated recollection, without relying on the scriptures, by the power of meditation, it is established that understanding the meaning beyond the senses that makes the meaning manifest. Therefore, the Thubpa Bhagavan is spoken by the wise Sugatas, not from other scriptures of children, therefore, that is not accepted, so it is not a refutation. Also, the agent and the word made. What was said like that, then quoting "But for the sake of establishing validity," etc. We do not say that we are establishing beginninglessness for the sake of establishing validity. Because it is uncertain to enter into a dissimilar category. Therefore, you have fabricated and spoken of refutation. Furthermore, in order to establish the Vedas as valid, if the Vedic speakers and the Vedas are said to be beginningless, then in order to show that all these faults of yours will be clearly destroyed. Also quoting measure, etc., distinguishing with "speaker and the word made," etc. Among them, the speaker is, how to prevent the validity of the Vedic expositor? Then quoting "The speaker is the same as the maker," etc. Among them, "depending on that" refers to depending on the speaker.
