The root of faults such as attachment is the perversion of self and what belongs to self. This is because it follows and goes against it, as has already been shown. It is also not the nature of sentient beings, because that very nature is not established. There is no such thing as a sentient being that becomes a dharma in any way, such as attachment. This is merely a manifestation of dependent origination, because the terms dharma and possessor of dharma are merely imputed by conceptual thought. If these are the nature of the mind, or if they are born there, then they are the nature of sentient beings, but even then they are not established or certain. Thus, if one considers objects and objects of possession as entities, then the mind must undoubtedly be acknowledged as the nature of grasping objects. If this is not the case, then objects and consciousness will not become objects of possession. If one acknowledges that it is the nature of not grasping meaning, then one must also say that it is the nature of grasping that meaning by whatever nature it is. If this is not the case, then how will it grasp it? If it grasps it with the aspect of non-existence, then it will not become an object and an object of possession. Thus, just as consciousness makes meaning an object, meaning is not like that; just as meaning exists, it does not become an object like that. Therefore, all consciousnesses will become without objects. Therefore, all things will become unestablished. Therefore, the nature of this entity is to abide in the form of grasping the true object. The truth of the nature of the object has also been shown to be the nature of momentariness and selflessness, etc. Therefore, the nature of the mind is only to grasp selflessness, not the nature of grasping self. Whatever appears to the ignorant as this nature is due to the power of sudden accidental causes, not by nature, just as one mistakes a rope for a snake. Therefore, the multitude of afflictions is very great, but this is the power of seeing selflessness.

It is not impossible to eradicate from the root, because the sudden causes themselves do not show that reason. The wisdom of selflessness, because it is its own nature and is powerful with the companion of valid cognition, even if it seems contradictory, is established as the antidote to the view of self. The view of self is not its antidote, because that is the opposite of this. According to those who hold that there is no external object, the nature of knowledge is only the nature of grasping selflessness, not the nature of the view of self, because that self does not exist. Like this, if he does not want knowledge to be the nature of grasping because there is no object, then he must necessarily admit that it is the nature of self-awareness, otherwise knowledge cannot be established either. That self should also be recognized as the nature of two, etc., with the nature of non-existence, otherwise it is not, because it would be like the previous fault. Therefore, these are not the Dharma nature of sentient beings. It is not impossible to abandon it just because it is said to be born, because it is uncertain. Like this, the knowledge that a rope is known as a snake arises, but it is the opposite of the arising of correct knowledge. It is also not impossible to have a means of exhaustion, because habituating to things that are contrary to one's own cause, the means of exhaustion itself is possible. Like this, those who may be habituated to a nature that is contrary to their own cause are very likely to be completely cut off, like the elements, etc. Attachment, etc., are also like that, so these methods of exhaustion are possible. It is also not completely unknown, because from the complete understanding of the nature of the cause itself, whatever object has the aspect of an object that is contrary to it, that is its antidote, because it is clearly determined, therefore it is only possible to see the selflessness of these, because it is the aspect of focusing on the opposite of it, it has already been shown that it is the antidote. Just like jumping, etc., it does not particularly abide.

It is not because of that either. Wisdom and so on are because the nature of practicing and meditating on the previous one is not destroyed, so the later efforts are to obtain a special body that was not there before, and because of the dependent and the support, and because of the power of the previous similar kind. Jumping and so on are not like that, it will be explained later. Other births are not impossible, nor is it because the continuum of birth has already been accomplished. Just as the hardness of copper and so on, faults and so on are also impossible to arise, because the view of selflessness, which is contrary to this, constantly becomes its nature and is constantly inseparable. The fire that is contrary to the hardness of copper and so on, because of occasional proximity, hardness and so on do not exist when they exist, and because they are separated from it again, it will arise, the stains of lineage are not like that. Or even if it is separated from hardness, it is not certain because of ashes and so on, so faults and so on are certainly impossible to arise. Just as wood and so on are connected with fire and become ashes, and after being separated from it, it does not follow the previous nature again, so are faults and so on, which are uncertain. Furthermore, how can the stains that were previously incapable, merely because of suddenness, harm the selflessness that has become its nature? Nature cannot be prevented without effort, and for what should be obtained and what should be abandoned,
