English
་ནི་ means the teacher of one's own specialty. །འདི་ཡིས་ means the commitment. །གང་བརྗོད་པ་ means that even if it is established that there is some omniscient person who does not touch the specifics, or that some have omniscience, there is not even a little doubt. How so? It is stated, "By whom is the scripture," and so on. དེ་ནི་ means by whom the scripture is established as truth itself. Why is it not found? It is stated, "As long as," and so on. Thus, as long as the Buddha is not established as omniscient, there is no certainty that his words are true. And even if omniscience itself is established in general, the words of the Buddha will not be established as true, because there is no connection. This is what it shows: "Otherwise, there is omniscience." And so on. When will they be connected? It is stated, "When they have a common basis." And so on. A common basis is reliance on one person. དེ་དག་ means omniscience and words. Limb and limb-possessor, cause and effect. This is how it is shown: If it relies on one, then the words of the omniscient become the cause of truth, but otherwise not. Because it would be too extreme. Furthermore, the means of proof that others have stated in order to prove omniscience is also clarified by this, for the purpose of showing that. It is stated, "Whatever is in the world," and so on. Whatever is measurable and has entity is not manifest to someone, like the form and taste of yogurt, and so on. The nature of all entities is the nature of being measurable, and so on, which is the reason of nature. In this, as before, the commitment is incomplete and the reason is uncertain. Therefore, the establishment of omniscience is not possible in particular, nor in general, so it is established that it does not exist. Because it does not exist, its words also do not exist, so it is not possible to apply anything from its words. In one way, let all beings be omniscient.
