That which lacks that nature is not to be understood by approximation, like the son of a barren woman. The statement that "there is no holding of the likeness of the all-knowing" means that pervasive action is invisible. Furthermore, not only is the all-knowing not understood by approximation, but on the contrary, all beings can only understand the non-all-knowing by approximation. To show this, there are "like those existing people" and so on. In order to show that the all-knowing is not established by understanding through meaning, one temporarily adopts the views of others, such as "dharma and non-dharma" and so on. If dharma and so on are not directly cognized, then indicating like the Buddhas and so on will not be established. Therefore, if there is no direct perception or the like that proves the all-knowing, then understanding through meaning can establish the all-knowing person. In order to show that it is irrational to say so, one thinks that it will be explained from the reason to be explained. Or, this is merely inference, not understanding through meaning, because the three modes exist. To show this, there are "or for this" and so on. The statement that "generally unseen" means that it is impossible to see in particular. Whatever cause that directly sees the connection between the cause and the effect, that effect itself, for the sake of cutting off doubts at other times, whatever is inference, at that time it is called inference of particular seeing. Since no one holds the connection of the indication of the all-knowing and so on and the co-born and so on, therefore here it is only a general seeing. Like this, the general indication is elsewhere, seeing that knowledge precedes in one's own continuum. Therefore, just as it is observed that Devadatta goes to another place first, and the sun goes to another place and infers the going. Similarly, the Buddha Bhagavan also infers his knowledge from indicating dharma and so on. The reason is that any indicator
