Therefore, since there is no direct perception, it is not an uncertain reason. Some think that Buddhas, etc., are seen as showing the meaning beyond the senses, but not poets. Therefore, it can be inferred that they themselves see the meaning beyond the senses, but not others. If it were not so, then for those who do not have the ability to fully understand the meaning beyond the senses, it would not be possible for them to slightly understand the meaning beyond the senses, because there is no difference. Therefore, thinking that "understanding the meaning beyond the senses" is a reason with particularity, so poets will not make mistakes, to eliminate this doubt, next stating "showing contradiction" etc. Many people, because of their respect for them, consider them to be omniscient. For the Sugata, Kapila, Kasapa, Aksapada, etc., which need to be proven, here, who would determine and conclude that one of them is the omniscient? Because all of these are equally the cause of showing the meaning beyond the senses that leads to omniscience. It is also unreasonable to think that "all of these are omniscient," because all of these show mutually contradictory meanings. Those who show mutually contradictory meanings cannot all see the suchness, because things are essentially singular and have no connection with many mutually contradictory natures. If it is said that the Sugata should be definitely considered the only true knower, then, assuming the statement "if the Sugata" etc. If it is said that "then both are omniscient," then, assuming the statement "or both are" etc. Or, if someone thinks that when occasionally a true word is found, it can be inferred that that person thoroughly and without inversion understands the suchness of all things, then, stating "Victorious Buddha" etc. All those with objects such as Victorious and Buddha are merely seeing some non-deceptive words in one area such as arithmetic. It is not that much talk will not turn into some true words.

As it is said: "Among those who speak much, there is not one who is not true." As it is said. If, due to the same cause, the difference is not determined, then everything would become omniscient, which is not reasonable, because it shows contradictory meanings, as has been said before. If you think that whatever words are examined by all valid measures, and cannot be refuted, that itself becomes omniscient, then you should mention being fond of one's own side, and so on. For example, the Sugata is the one who directly knows the suchness of all things, because he is the one who teaches the undeluded meaning of what has not been heard and cannot be inferred, just as directly realizing water and so on, as he teaches it. Whatever reason the sons of the Sugata take up in order to prove that the Sugata is omniscient, the same is established by the naked ones in order to prove that the Victorious One is omniscient, so the doubters remain here. Likewise, in order to prove that the Victorious One is omniscient, the establishment made by the naked ones, the sons of the Shakya also say: This is not omniscient, because the momentary destruction and so on that he taught are not reasonable, and they refute it. Thus, just as an image appears immediately when a form is near, so the establishment and refutation of these, immediately the establishment and refutation that have become enemies of each other are situated nearby. Thus, just as the appearance of an image is grasped, how can one determine someone to be omniscient by these impermanent establishments and refutations? If you think: Whatever cannot be refuted by anyone in reality, that alone should be known as omniscient. Thus, you should say omniscient and so on, in order to make yourself particularly superior. As it is said, mongoose and so on. What are these reasons? Whoever...

Etc., thus it is said. The reason for knowledge itself, etc., is that it is very famous as being common to both the conforming and non-conforming sides, and that which becomes a harm-doer is never possible, therefore, it should not be accepted because it possesses speculation. For example, the Sugata is not omniscient, because it is knowledge itself, measurability itself, thing itself, existence itself, speech itself, person itself, etc., like a traveler on a great road. This statement can also be expressed. These are also not uncertain, because in that way, all things are fully known, therefore it is considered to be omniscient. When is it that fully knowing all things is through sense consciousness or through mental consciousness? For the time being, it is not through sense consciousness, because it is the object of individually determined meanings, therefore it is not reasonable to be the object of all meanings. For example, the natures of the eye and other consciousnesses that individually determine and hold objects are produced by the senses, which are the cause of the nature of determining. If that is the case, then it is very famous that the world does not exceed the boundary of its own realm. It is not reasonable for these to hold all meanings. If it is not so, then the many senses will become meaningless. If that is the case, and one consciousness should hold different senses, then it should also know all the dharmas such as form and taste, so the Buddhas examine it in this way. One knows all, one sees all, because it is said. The speaker of the Buddha, through the eye, that is, through the consciousness that enters through the door of being the agent, will realize all the dharmas such as taste, and this will become so, but this cannot be expressed. If one consciousness does not simultaneously hold all meanings, then can multiple consciousnesses hold it? Like this, multiple simultaneous consciousnesses are impossible. Even if it is allowed to exist, it is not possible to hold all things, because the minds of all others are not the objects of the senses, and many objects such as distant, subtle, and interrupted, etc.
