How can the wisdom arising from practice be recognized as not deceiving reality? Those who have not realized its result cannot definitively grasp its power, for that would be too extreme. If so, and wanting to show truth only through the Vedas, then posing all these verbal questions, because it itself is not established, is like seeking a precious fruit by beating an empty shell, which is completely futile, too extreme, so let it be. From the 'Condensed Commentary on Reality,' the thirtieth examination of valid cognition. Those who aspire to benefit beings, who have not diminished in countless eons, becoming the master of great compassion, the secret of dependent arising, the holy one of all-knowing speakers, I prostrate to you, I will summarize reality. By this, showing the all-knowing one, in order to argue for the excellence of dependent arising, in order to arrange the occasion, therefore it is said 'Thus' and so on. Thus, in the reasoning just stated, all valid cognitions abide in themselves and not as valid cognitions. Therefore, in order to accomplish the holy one who sees the supersensory without effort, no other effort should be made to accomplish it separately. If one thinks, how can it be accomplished without effort? Therefore it is said 'The Veda's again' and so on. Again, refers to the person. From, refers to the agent person. From that, refers to the Veda, in relation to 'valid cognition itself,' it is the seventh case of the fourth place. 'Valid cognition itself' refers to the very act of non-erroneously showing the supersensory. This is also stated in relation to the views of other schools. This is explaining: If you undoubtedly acknowledge that the Veda itself is valid cognition, then this is merely the valid cognition of the agent person himself, not the nature of the lineage, this has already been stated before. The author of the Veda, if he can see the supersensory, then

Moreover, from the maker, this (Veda) is the valid means of knowledge, otherwise it is not. If it were not so, then the maker, if he possesses perversion and doubt, etc., just like the words of a madman, etc., the Veda itself would become a non-valid means of knowledge. Therefore, it is for this reason. The maker of the Veda, who is previously heard and has already established permanence, and who is the one who sees the meaning beyond the senses, this is what other debaters should also acknowledge, therefore it should not be abandoned. Just like this, all beings are dimmed in their eye of wisdom by the darkness of faults such as desire, and in reality there is no one who sees the meaning beyond the senses, having understood this, for the words spoken by him, since there is no hope of it being a valid means of knowledge, therefore beings who seek the meaning of Dharma and non-Dharma, like a bird that has not seen the end, think that the Veda itself is a valid means of knowledge, thinking like this, or because they are impoverished by their own qualities and have destroyed faith, therefore the Vaiśeṣikas abandon the one who sees the meaning beyond the senses. Just like this, all beings are deluded by desire, etc., and ignorance, because they lack the means to accept it. Therefore, there is no one who sees the meaning beyond the senses, therefore, the meaning indicated by exhortation alone is Dharma, not that indicated by the senses, etc. The exhorter is: the past and the future and change, and the subtle and the interrupted and the kalpa, meanings of such kinds can be understood, but other senses, etc., never can. Here, what becomes a valid means of knowledge is, with the nature of being separated from the five valid means of knowledge, with the nature of having a non-existent valid means of knowledge as its object, that is what the wise enter into as the object of non-existence, for example, a lotus in the sky. Saying that the all-seeing person is also the nature of making a non-existent valid means of knowledge as its object is the reason of nature, because it is to be established that it can be spoken of. Non-existence is established by the valid means of knowledge of non-existence itself. However, all the objects to be measured are just these, for example, the five objects with form, etc.
