Is the dharma of a subject of dharma an argument, or is it the dharma of another subject of dharma? Regarding this, since the subject of dharma called "clarity" itself is not established, its dharma is also not established, so for the time being its dharma is not an argument. The dharma of other things is also not an argument, because there is no homogeneity. For example, to establish that sound is impermanent, it is like that which is apprehended by the eye. The dharma of non-things is also not an argument, because it itself is the cause of establishing the opposite. The dharma of both will not become an argument, because it itself is a delusion. Furthermore, is it established by the argument of self-nature, or is it by the argument of result? Regarding this, for the time being, the first case is not, because it itself is transcendental, so its self-nature is not established. If it is established, then the effort to find an argument will become meaningless, because its self-nature has already been established, and the purpose of the effort is to establish. The second case is also not, because at the same time as being transcendental, the things of cause and effect are not established. Or, if, like the consciousness of the ear and so on, because it is temporary, it is established as relying on other causes, then naturally the senses of the ear and so on will also be established. Similarly, if meaning understanding is taken as the subject of dharma, because one can understand the undifferentiated letters, and the different meanings of sea and taste and so on, then one should examine other causes called "clarity," if one thinks so. That is not correct, because the non-difference of letters is not established. This has already been shown now, because cause and effect are different. When words are different, the letters themselves are capable of understanding meaning. Therefore, examining it is meaningless, this is the idea of criticizing what can be inferred in this way. If one thinks again that this should not be inferred. Then what is it? It is thought to be completely non-manifest. This means "it is non-manifest." Just as not knowing the sign will not become understanding, this will also become not understanding. If it exists

Just like the senses such as the eyes, if it does not become a factor in understanding the unknown, then all the knowledge arising from it will change. Similarly, if there is no understanding of symbols, etc., the knowledge arising from it will also arise. Therefore, it shows "the symbol is" and so on. The reason for this is stated as: just like this. If only the symbol is obvious, it is considered to be a factor in understanding the meaning of this thing, and not just existence, then it will not fall into the error as mentioned earlier, is that what you think? Therefore, it is said "only symbols, sounds and letters also" and so on. "Because it is not seen" is because it is not obvious, and because it is considered to be invisible. This is shown by "that itself is clear knowledge" and so on. If someone thinks that what appears is not obvious, this is not established. For example, if someone thinks that, through the influence of previous letters, in the wisdom of obtaining good behavior, the sound is manifested without division, then it is said "only through the influence of sound" and so on. Obtaining means birth. The wisdom of good behavior that is fully matured by the previous wisdom is called that. "No reason" means that, just as experiencing letters, later there will definitely be memory knowledge of pursuit, that is what is thought. For example, after understanding the letters, the nature of the sound, other things without division are not close to being displayed, and the speaker himself did not understand. If it changes, then in the end it will only become the good of the ignorant who want to be good, because in the final wisdom, the completely complete sound is manifested, so it acts like a dream. Thus, it temporarily shows the refutation of the permanent side. Then, for the side of permanence and impermanence, it also refutes the side of indivisibility, when explaining: those who have order, etc. Some Sarvastivadins admit that the fruit is manifested through language expression, because it is impermanent, so it needs to be produced. For indivisibility, it refers to things without interruption. "Because there is no difference from the essence" refers to birth
