This is established by relying on approximation. Therefore, if the establishment is accomplished, then even if one thinks of transforming it into another form and transforming it into the nature of being able to transform, there is no fault, it should be said. The words "valid knowledge" and so on, show the fruit of Kumārila, which is establishment. The meaning of "entering" is completely entering, that is, the meaning of eyes and so on. The meaning of "the fruit is other" is the mind of the nature of abandoning, taking, and equanimity. Furthermore, this was also said by Kumārila himself, because self-awareness is prevented, so it is not reasonable to be the fruit of validity, and if it has the aspect of an object, it is also valid, then validity and fruit will become different objects, like this, the aspect of an object is an external object, and self-awareness is the object with the nature of self-awareness by knowledge, it should be said like this. Answer with the words "all" and so on. "If the object is not direct perception, seeing the meaning cannot be accomplished", because all meanings will become not direct perception, so self-awareness cannot be prevented, and it is also unreasonable to become different objects, because it is its fruit, so even if it is self-awareness, it is considered to be knowing the meaning, and self-awareness is similar to it, so it is not its nature, there is no contradiction. The words "validity from itself" and so on, mean that the maker of happiness is validity, because validity and the maker are different, so it is doing things, because it is the maker, like an axe and so on, if you say so. Refute with the words "meaningless" and so on, meaningless because there is a fault of being able to establish in the proposition. Because it is completely cut off, it is also said that the other fruit that transforms into being able to transform. The word "ni" is the reason. The metaphor of "like an axe and so on" is also incomplete in what is to be established, because it has already been shown simultaneously with cutting off. "Because it is the maker" also, if you want to say that it transforms into being able to transform, it is also an unestablished reason, because what you want to establish is establishment.

Even if one wants to express oneself, it is uncertain, because there is no contradiction. Generally speaking, even if one wants to express, it is uncertain, because the contradiction has not been clearly pointed out. If consciousness becomes possessed of the appearance of an object, then at that time, the consciousness that is similar to the object becomes a valid cognition. As long as consciousness does not arise with the same nature as the object to be grasped, because the object to be grasped is of a different category from consciousness. It is like form and taste. What is said, "If consciousness and the grasped..." and so on, is this meaning. We, who follow the Mind-Only school, accept this view, so there is no fault at all. Like this, the refutation of the grasped that you slightly mention, we are clearly arguing for the purpose of analyzing the grasped. Attachment to the grasped is clinging to the grasped, and analyzing it is eliminating it. What is that clear argument? It is mentioning "all self-nature" and so on, meaning that from how many different things one returns, just from how many things consciousness arises, this is the similarity of all self-nature. Returning from a slight thing is partial similarity. Then, how can this be said to be a valid cognition that is the same as the meaning? It is saying "however" and so on, that "that" refers to the similarity or appearance. What has the appearance similar to the object is the one with appearance. From the grasped, it is from the external object. The image refers to the image of consciousness. Because it is similar to it, it is because it is similar to the object. To impute, is to closely impute. Becoming the knower, is the remaining part of the meaning. Indicating is the basis. The inverted understanding of objects and so on, is because it prevents becoming a common thing, and it implies that even the direct perception that is considered to have an object of things does not have an object that is different from its own characteristic, so it is not explained separately. Some people think that this should not become the definition of direct perception, because making the definition of valid cognition must in any case be expressed by its nature.
